Under the general direction of the finance and administrative manager, this position is primarily responsible for collaborating with key staff to provide administrative services to professional associations and MRSC training... events. This position is part of a seven-member administrative team and works closely with several of its members in supporting programs.
This position is based in Seattle with the option of up to 100% remote work from a home office within Washington State with the exception of occasional travel and quarterly team-building events.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Washington State Professional Associations (60%)
• Membership services:
• Broadcast e-mail announcements to membership as requested by association board members.
• Manage association websites, listservs, online membership directories, and membership database.
• Communicate directly with members and respond to requests for information.
• Conference and training support:
• Participate in planning for annual professional conferences that serve up to 200 participants.
• Administer online registration for conferences and non-conference trainings.
• Respond to daily inquiries concerning the conference and non-conference trainings.
• In partnership with internal staff, reserve venue, negotiate final contract terms, and plan for meals, facilities, equipment, AV, etc. with special attention to financial and time constraints.
• Coordinate and prepare conference materials, speaker information, agenda, attendee list, badges, sponsorship, conference app, posters, and conference reports.
• Attend 4-6 conferences annually to support on-site registration, venue logistics, AV needs, and troubleshoot issues.
• Support association board members as directed.
MRSC In-Person Training Events (40%)
• Act as primary staff for planning and implementing multiple single day training events in WA State.
• Administer online registration and respond to inquiries from attendees.
• Coordinate with venue on event logistics and AV needs.
• Advertise and promote training to appropriate audiences.
• Communicate with consultants and speakers to collect training materials.
• Provide on-site support for registration, AV, and room set-up/break down.
• Distribute and collect training evaluation and surveys to attendees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Three years’ experience performing increasingly responsible administrative and event management duties.
• Flexibility to meet changes in priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Exceptional degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work cooperatively with other staff, as well as independently.
• Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, event software, and other appropriate software for managing membership and events.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS. The salary range is $55,000 to $70,000. In addition to a rewarding work environment, MRSC offers excellent benefits including:
