We are looking for compassionate and caring Quality and Compliance Specialist to join our LIFE St Mary team. LIFE St Mary Healthcare is a member of Trinity Health PACE. Our facility ministers exclusively to the elderly through a coordinated care model which provides preventive, primary, acute and long-term care services designed to assist older individuals to live as independently as possible while continuing to live within their community.
This position will be housed primarily at the LIFE St Mary facility.

• Participate in regulatory surveys, quality and compliance monitoring, develop performance improvement plans, Quality and Compliance Specialist and develop and maintain quality improvement-related documents. Ensure data produced and submitted is valid and reliable.
• Develop and implement audit tools for clinical processes and utilization.
• Develop corrective action plans for any quality trending which emerges in the program.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives/projects as directed. Assist colleagues with project design and measurement of quality improvement projects as needed.
• Assist colleagues in establishing process evaluation, including root cause analyses.
• Monitor, analyze, and collate infection control data and immunization results.
• Prepare and submit monthly quality metrics reporting to Trinity Health PACE and participates in Trinity Health PACE initiatives, meetings, and programs as required.
• Complete data entry to HPMS as required.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of the PACE Quality Committee, or subcommittees in collaboration with Quality and Compliance Director. Duties include preparation of meeting agenda, preparation of minutes, and assistance with committee correspondence and presentation materials.
• Ensures the grievance and appeals process complies with all regulations and supports participant satisfaction. Provides on-going support and guidance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to meet extensive regulatory requirements. Facilitates the appeal process as directed by the Director of Quality & Compliance. Ensure compliance with CMS regulations. Complete the activities and responsibilities identified in the Compliance program on time, including completion and filing of any required root cause analyses to CMS. 2
• Ensure policies are reviewed and updated annually, making recommendations as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Quality and Compliance Director on Participant Satisfaction and HOS-M survey process and analyze datof participant information.
What you will need:
• Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of quality management principles, data analysis, and report preparation, as normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years quality/compliance or performance improvement experience preferred. A combination of education and experience may be acceptable. Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred.
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills, problem solving capabilities, and mathematical skills, having the ability to decipher best practice and statistical data, audits, and surveys. Quality and Compliance Specialist
• Must be action-oriented, have business acumen, manage conflict well, be customer focused, have high decision quality, flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and have organizational agility. Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
• Possess interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment and productivity when working with crossfunctional teams, customers, and end users. Must be comfortable functioning in a virtual, collaborative shared leadership environment.
• Demonstrates superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills appropriate for audience comprehension. Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, that may be used either in an on-site or virtual environment is required. Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
• Comprehensive to expert proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.); basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system. The EVP must navigate deftly the legal and political systems in the Commonwealth of Virginia with a keen awareness of trends in higher education.
