I am currently looking for a talented DJ/music producer to collaborate with me in creating mixed cover songs, mostly bringing back some of fave music from the 90s/childhoods, catching up on what I was not able to formally sing back then due to some various reasons, and then at a later point, mixing some original music with some lyrics I have and will create.

I am currently looking for a talented DJ/music producer to collaborate with me in creating mixed cover songs, mostly bringing back some of fave music from the 90s/childhoods, catching up on what I was not able to formally sing back then due to some various reasons, and then at a later point, mixing some original music with some lyrics I have and will create.
I am a CPA, who loves to sing in a... range of vocals, eager to take my singing journey to the next level. I have mostly only ever performed karaoke (and boy do I get the crowd going!!) I like to think I am a performer more than a singer (haha). And, inspired by a recent live performance of our friend in his band, I've realized that the only thing stopping me from making music more formally, is just my own self stopping me from just doing it!
Project Details:
- Primary Cover Song Genres: Pop, pop-rock, punk-rock/alternative. (The genres does continue, as song list is ... endless! Though I believe these encompass the majority)
And this is where I may need some help of a DJ ear to fine tune on which songs of the ones that we cover best will mix together.
- Desired end song genre: I would like to make some variety of songs from upbeat, to chill, to more grungey. So we can collaborate on how to mix the songs but would like the final sound to fall into House/EDM as best possible.
- Vocal Range: Wide vocal range (soprano, alto, treble... gosh sometimes even that bass if its the right song hahaha), capable of singing nearly 'any' karaoke song (that I know!) ;) And with lots of enthusiasm!
- Material: I have a collection of poetry and lyrics that are near ready to be turned into music, which I would like to explore more directly after we are able to successfully craft the cover song(s).
- Goals: To create and enjoy listening to our own music. This project is primarily for enjoyment and creative expression, though I am open to sharing the music more widely eventually.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate Creatively: Work closely with me to bring my vision to life, experimenting with different sounds and styles.
- Music Production: Handle the music production aspects, including composing, mixing, and mastering tracks.
- Recording: Assist with recording sessions, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality vocal tracks.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in producing House, EDM, Pop, and punk-rock genres.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous work, especially any collaborations with vocalists.
- Creativity: Ability to think outside the box and experiment with different musical elements.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Location: Open to remote collaboration, and in person depending on location and availabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in music production software and recording equipment.
- Passion for Music: A genuine passion for creating music and a willingness to share ideas and feedback openly.
- Familiarity with Karaoke: Understanding of karaoke-style singing and how to help me elevate it to professional-level recordings.

Please let me know if the budget is in alignment or if may need any revising. I am not entirely sure on the pricing here so this is why I am curious to finding out as well.
