What You Will Be Doing

This includes designing, developing, and debugging networking systems for multiplayer games, including setting up dedicated host servers, porting forward/NAT traversal, and matchmaking servers.

What You Need for this Position

experience with networking, C++, and source control, along with experience communicating cross-departmentally, as this role will work with game design, and publishing to create seamless multiplayer setups. Additionally, the candidate should be able to work with producers and other engineers to assimilate their pieces with the rest of the project.

Nice to Have:
• Experience with game networking (porting, matchmaking/hosting servers,
• experience with modern platforms
• C++/C# or Java, with networking-related development
• experience with Unreal or Unity
• Cloud services/AWS
• Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP and Websocket
• experience in other AAA or similar studios, but not necessary
• understanding of multiplayer networking concepts (latency optimization, synchronization)

Responsibilities

An extension of the EP, overseeing the day to day production workflow and product vision
Work collaboratively with the agile teams and key stakeholders to strategically develop project roadmap, milestone deliverables and scope
Oversight of the team’s scope and capacity on a daily basis
Develop and maintain KPIs
Oversee resource requirements, establish dependencies and balance priorities
Playtest and give feedback on the game with an eye for quality and player experience
Partner with Directors to establish feature goals and deliver features on time
Partner with a technical and creative leadership team to ensure project vision, deliverables and goals are met
Establish and manage relationships and processes with key stakeholders, publisher and external partners

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years experience in a producer role with at least 2+ years in a leadership position
Experience running a large, distributed development team
Experience releasing on multiple platforms
Strong understanding of game development cycle from pre-production to release
Experience working directly with external and publisher stakeholders and outsourcers
Passion and enthusiasm for games and game development
Experience in various project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
Effective communication skills across all levels and disciplines
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic and collaborative team environment
Excellent verbal and written skills

Pluses

Experience in creating and maintaining a positive team culture with a “people first” attitude
University degree or equivalent professional experience
