We are currently looking for guides to lead our Women in the Wild-US National Parks trips. Our preference is guides who are from the regions we travel to.

Requirements
• Minimum 5 years' experience leading multi-day tours with groups of 8-16 people, or a bachelor's degree with major coursework in the natural sciences or related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for wildlife, ecology and natural history
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to make independent decisions
• Capable of working long hours for multiple consecutive days
• High level of integrity, maturity, patience and enthusiasm
• Current Wilderness First Responder certification or equivalent strongly preferred
• Availability from May to October (North America guiding season)

LOCATION

This position allows the option of working remotely or in the Louisville, CO office.

TRAVEL

If local, within one hour drive of the Louisville office, this position must be in the office at least one day per week.

If remote, this position will require you to travel to Colorado no less than two times a year for in-person meetings, company-wide events, & job-specific tasks.

COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $30,000-40,000 in the first year of employment (based on experience), plus commission on all sales made. This arrangement moves to strictly commission in year two and beyond. Benefits include paid vacation, annual travel opportunities, pro deals on outdoor clothing/gear, and an on-site fitness facility. Eligibility for medical insurance and participation in 401(k) is included after a pre-determined period of time.

Natural Habitat Adventures is looking for a driven, passionate, highly capable, organized and fun individual to join our field operations team. The Field Operations staff member is responsible for providing logistical support and assistance to the Trip Owner, Field Operations Manager, Homer Lead Field Operations, Expedition Leaders and Bear Camp managers. This is a mid-May through... early-September contract, field-based position that requires the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment with many variables.

Sample responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assist the Lead Operations Specialist with expediting and logistics
• Manage any last-minute schedule interruptions (bad weather, cancellations, etc)
• Provide excellent, guest-facing in-person assistance to Expedition Leaders and guests when necessary
• Assist in purchasing supplies, loading and unloading barge to and from Bear Camp
• Assist in procuring one-off purchases for ABC as necessary
• Assist in the management (stocking, cleaning, etc) of Homer guide housing
• Assist with group luggage as needed (pickup + delivery to hotel and into rooms)
• Work professionally with partners in the field when necessary
• Provide shuttle services to guests + ELs when needed
• Assist with booking or rescheduling of meals and activities due to schedule adjustments
• Help completing end-of-season inventory
• Comply with and promote all safety procedures

TIME & SEASONALITY
While your hours will vary from day to day, it is virtually certain that you will need to work long hours every day in order accomplish our goal of ultimate customer service and ensuring Bear Camp runs smoothly. It is understood that at times, it takes very early mornings and late evenings to accomplish our goals.

This is a daily contract position starting in mid-May and ending in mid-September. Approximately 25 days per month have been allotted for this contract.

REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to problem solve and think / act quickly and with professionalism
• Proven self-starter
• Proven leadership abilities, including a strong track record of dependability and interpersonal skills
