National Grid is hiring a Senior Supervisor, Construction for our diverse, team-oriented Boston Gas Construction Oversight department in West Roxbury, MA.
Our Team
We take gas projects from the design phase to implementation. We handle projects of all sizes starting with excavation, installing gas mains and services and finishing with restoration. We replace leak prone pipes and install new services. We use cutting edge robots to seal cast iron pipes from the inside while the gas is still flowing.
What You'll Do
You’ll be responsible for the integrity of the gas distribution system through supervising, coaching, and team building with operations personnel to complete job tasks while complying with Company and regulatory requirements.
Your Daily Responsibilities Include but Aren't Limited to:
• Providing emergency response and supervision of personnel engaged in a 24/7 operation
• Overseeing the operational workload of the team to ensure allocated resources are fully utilized to deliver against agreed upon work plan and executing work activities within the planned unit and budget cost
• Ensuring your team complies with safety standards, policies, and processes to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all
The Experience You'll Bring
• You’ll preferably have a bachelor’s degree and have worked for at least 2 years in related construction
• If you don’t have a degree, you’ll have a high school diploma or equivalant and at least 5 years of related construction experience
• You’ll have familiarity with the MS Office Suite
• You’ll possess a valid driver’s license

Salary
$105,000 - $124,000 a year

Job Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology or Engineering Technology (power options preferred).
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in related electric transmission, distribution or generation facility operations.
• Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving.

• Ability to work shift work.
