Job Description
The Multi-Platform Promotions Producer is responsible for writing creative copy, editing videos, and making graphics for NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut promotional campaigns. The Multi-Platform Promotions Producer will collaborate cross-departmentally to expand our promotional value via linear and non-linear platforms, including social media, over-the-top media, community initiative and lifestyle programming.
In addition to creating memorable promotions for the station's marketing, the Multi-Platform Promotions Producer will also help execute station events and corporate tentpole programs to achieve positive and productive relations between the duopoly and the community. Responsibilities of this position include planning and coordinating with the News Department, talent participation, and news coverage for all events to serve and advance the stations’ community brand. Essential Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the General Manager and oversees the NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut sales teams.
• Oversee entire sales and marketing department employees. Ensure employees work and sell with integrity and uphold NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut sales standards. Clearly communicate expectations of performance and establish and maintain a professional and motivated staff through the company’s performance management process.
• Work with local leadership team on creating a sales and marketing strategy for consistently growing our stations’ revenue on all platforms and communicate strategy to sales group. These platforms include both broadcast stations and our digital platforms, including our OTT products, Spot On and Peacock.
• Invest in the development and growth of local sales talent, from the director level to sales support.
• Monitor the marketplace for changes that affect sales activities, both directly and indirectly. Identify new opportunities for sales that may arise from changing technology and/or delivery systems, etc. and develop sales strategies targeted specifically to address these specialized needs.
• Provide strategic input to setting and maintaining sales targets and new business development opportunities for the Sales managers and their immediate teams.
• Oversee pricing, sales planning, inventory management and revenue forecasting functions for all sales revenue streams.
• Work cooperatively and in partnership with the other station departments such as News, Creative Services, Community Affairs, etc. to ensure growth in revenue and increased profitability through all station platforms.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the General Manager and oversees the NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut sales teams.
• Oversee entire sales and marketing department employees. Ensure employees work and sell with integrity and uphold NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut sales standards. Clearly communicate expectations of performance and establish and maintain a professional and motivated staff through the company’s performance management process.
• Work with local leadership team on creating a sales and marketing strategy for consistently growing our stations’ revenue on all platforms and communicate strategy to sales group. These platforms include both broadcast stations and our digital platforms, including our OTT products, Spot On and Peacock.
• Invest in the development and growth of local sales talent, from the director level to sales support.
• Monitor the marketplace for changes that affect sales activities, both directly and indirectly. Identify new opportunities for sales that may arise from changing technology and/or delivery systems, etc. and develop sales strategies targeted specifically to address these specialized needs.
• Provide strategic input to setting and maintaining sales targets and new business development opportunities for the Sales managers and their immediate teams.
• Oversee pricing, sales planning, inventory management and revenue forecasting functions for all sales revenue streams.
• Work cooperatively and in partnership with the other station departments such as News, Creative Services, Community Affairs, etc. to ensure growth in revenue and increased profitability through all station platforms.
• Assist local Sales Managers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing major deals when needed.
• Ensure consistent station image and integrity throughout commercials, promotional materials, and events.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years’ prior experience in a TV, broadcast, digital sales or marketing managerial role.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a sales department, including experience in strategic planning and direct responsibility for growing revenue in the television sales industry
• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
• A results-driven focus and a detail-oriented mindset with a proven track record of sales/marketing achievements
• Solid background in building and cultivating strategic relationships
• Superior project management skills - including excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven track record in driving, developing and mentoring high performance teams
• Working knowledge of data-processing tools including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
• Familiarity with pricing strategies and exceptional financial, analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation skills
