As a Freelance Manager of Olympic Operations, you will be an integral part of the Stamford Olympic Operations team reporting into the Director of Operations. You are responsible for supporting all aspects of Operations and logistics for the project in Stamford. In addition, you are expected to interface and collaborate with colleagues across Production, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Security, and our Facilities teams, while partnering with our Operations team abroad.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the Director of Operations in long term planning around building facilities and personnel related to 2024 Paris and 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympic and Paralympic games
• Oversight on NBC Olympics budgets related to Accommodations, Air Travel, Arrivals &Departures, Ground Transportation
• Manage all vendor relations within department, specifically Accommodations, Air and Transportation vendors, serving as the primary contact for NBC Olympics
• Manage Accommodations portfolio in our database and serve as main liaison to accommodations properties contracted for the Stamford Olympic Effort (upwards of 1200 employees will utilize hotel rooms for the lead up and duration of the games
• Responsible for development of cost projections and regular financial reporting for all relevant budgets in conjunction with our Games Event Management team
• Oversight of all Games Event Management functionality within internal NBC Sports Group database/CRM software (SCORE). Work closely with the development team to update and improve department-specific functions for the program
• Work directly with Production, Engineering, Digital and other entities company-wide such as Telemundo to determine Accommodations, Air and Accreditation needs and fulfill requests; track all vendor and symphony property bill backs
• Recruit and train all full-time and Games-time staff within Games Event Management department for both US-based and Host City operations
• Lead internal communications: Regular staff meetings, departmental briefings and presentations, seminars with the intent to keep all areas informed
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Operations
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum of 4+ years of project management
• Previous experience in planning or managing aspects of an Olympic program or comparable large-scale live event
• Willingness to be flexible and work weekends and/or overnights as broadcast schedules require (specifically during the lead up and execution of the Olympic and Paralympic games)
• High level of computer proficiency: all Microsoft applications, desktop publishing, CRM experience, Smartsheet
Desired Characteristics:
• Excellent organization skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Proven ability to access priorities, multitask, adapt and pivot (when necessary) in a fast paced environment
• Solid written a verbal communication skills

Job Description
The Coordinating Producer is responsible for overseeing the booking and scheduling of all live remote event facilities and crews required for a successful production of all NBC Sports Chicago live events. Includes developing and maintaining quality working relationships with third party vendors such as Game Creek Video, Program Productions and road team remote facility providers. The Coordinating Producer will also identify and schedule PEP employees to fill freelance roles in game productions, oversee monthly scheduling and processing and tracking of invoices and assist with the monitoring of live game production.
Additionally, the role will support the live event producers to assist them with day-to-day broadcast content, brainstorming new ideas, and working with internal content teams to produce new concepts for remote and studio programs.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Game Creek Video (or designated truck vendor) in scheduling all production truck needs for home games. Coordinate equipment needs and the assignments of trucks for all live game productions to meet the contractual requirements for both SDR and HDR events.
• Work with Program Productions in booking home crew positions and ensuring the quality of crews.
• Assist with the scheduling of all full-time staff positions and booking and assigning of PEP employees to fill all freelance roles.
• Work with road rightsholders/production vendors in booking facilities and crews for all NBC Sports Chicago road games.
• Work with visiting team rightsholders in booking facilities and crews for all Teams coming to Chicago to produce their road games. Includes confirmation paperwork of facilities, crews, transmissions and production schedules for all road games with visiting team rightsholders.
• Oversee the approval of pay sheets and tracking of costs for production trucks and crews and other expenses.
• As assigned, monitor the production process and execution of live event productions on-site
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience, preferably sports; Chicago sports experience a plus
• Bachelor of Arts in communications, video production/media, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays if event schedule dictates.
Desired Characteristics:
• Solid knowledge base of Chicago sports and sports production.
• Strong, personable communication skills to communicate with both vendors and Teams
• Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
• Ability to work under tight time restrictions
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, high pressure environment with a positive attitude
• Self-starter with demonstrated initiative
