Job Description:

The Center for Workforce Development is seeking part-time non-credit instructors for the following disciplines:
• Management/Supervisor
• Employability
• Communications (emotional intelligence, customer service)
• Language Center (English as a Second Language and Spanish for Professionals)

The part-time instructor will work part-time on an as-needed basis for open enrollment or at various workplaces on Long Island. Non-credit courses could be held during business hours, in the evening or on the weekend.

Requirements:

Minimum of a Master's Degree in one of the Physical Sciences and least 15 graduate level credits required in Astronomy and prior teaching experience.

Job Description:

Nassau Community College invites applications for a full-time Instructor position in the Administrative Business/Health Information Department. The position begins September 1, 2023. Weekly duties will include fifteen (15) contact hours of teaching, three (3) office hours, five (5) hours of departmental and/or college service, academic advisement, etc.. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Medical Assistant Program.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree and one (1) of the following:

(a) Previous teaching experience; or

(b) Expertise in specialized areas; or

(c) Work experience in related discipline; AND

Two (2) years full-time (or four (4) years part-time) medical assisting work experience, including EKG and phlebotomy.

Additional Information:

Preferred additional qualifications:
• Current Medical Assisting Certification from one of the following NCCA-accredited credentials in Medical Assisting: CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT).
• Master's Degree.
• Clinical experience with both hospital and physician practices.
• Experience in a blended teaching environment.
