Summary of Position
The Student Activities Coordinator serves as a resource for student clubs and organizations, and supports programs and services sponsored by the Student Activities Office. The Coordinator will plan and lead a comprehensive schedule of in-person activities. With a high level of student interaction, the Coordinator has responsibility for event planning, supervising student employees, and the marketing of student activities programming.
This is a full-time, year-round position.
Position Responsibilities
1. Responsible for developing, promoting and implementing a comprehensive schedule of activities, including some evening and weekend activities. Works closely with the Student Activities student employees to ensure that appropriate staff supervision is provided for all activities.
2. Collaborate with the Residence Life staff to establish and implement quarterly programming.
3. Work with the Director of Student Activities to create programs to support the leadership development of all student club officers.
4. Advise and provide support to student clubs and organizations.
5. Assist in the development and coordination of ongoing training sessions for clubs and organizations. Ensure that club officers comply with the requirements of NEIT’s student clubs, to include, submission of club budgets and completion of club reports. Ensure that student clubs comply with the university’s mission, policies, and procedures.
6. Serve as a point of contact for students interested in proposing new clubs and coordinate the NEIT recognition process for proposed clubs and organizations.
7. Plan and lead the Student Involvement Fairs for student clubs and organizations.
8. Assist with the marketing of all student activity opportunities, which include creating and distributing emails, fliers, bulletin board postings, and digital display announcements; write articles for the campus newspaper; and maintain social media accounts.
9. Hire, train and supervise student employees. Conduct quarterly student employee reviews. Prepare and conduct biweekly student employee staff meetings.
10. Work with the Director of Student Activities to develop the Student Activities budget and complete end-of-year reports.
11. Participate in and assist with the university’s events and activities, including, but not limited to Commencement, Open House, and Orientation.
12. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Student Activities.
Qualifications

Summary of Position
The Student Activities Coordinator serves as a resource for student clubs and organizations, and supports programs and services sponsored by the Student Activities Office. The Coordinator will plan and lead a comprehensive schedule of in-person activities. With a high level of student interaction, the Coordinator has responsibility for event planning, supervising student employees, and the marketing of student activities programming.
This is a full-time, year-round position.
Position Responsibilities
1. Responsible for developing, promoting and implementing a comprehensive schedule of activities, including some evening and weekend activities. Works closely with the Student Activities student employees to ensure that appropriate staff supervision is provided for all activities.
2. Collaborate with the Residence Life staff to establish and implement quarterly programming.
3. Work with the Director of Student Activities to create programs to support the leadership development of all student club officers.
4. Advise and provide support to student clubs and organizations.
5. Assist in the development and coordination of ongoing training sessions for clubs and organizations. Ensure that club officers comply with the requirements of NEIT’s student clubs, to include, submission of club budgets and completion of club reports. Ensure that student clubs comply with the university’s mission, policies, and procedures.
6. Serve as a point of contact for students interested in proposing new clubs and coordinate the NEIT recognition process for proposed clubs and organizations.
7. Plan and lead the Student Involvement Fairs for student clubs and organizations.
8. Assist with the marketing of all student activity opportunities, which include creating and distributing emails, fliers, bulletin board postings, and digital display announcements; write articles for the campus newspaper; and maintain social media accounts.
9. Hire, train and supervise student employees. Conduct quarterly student employee reviews. Prepare and conduct biweekly student employee staff meetings.
10. Work with the Director of Student Activities to develop the Student Activities budget and complete end-of-year reports.
11. Participate in and assist with the university’s events and activities, including, but not limited to Commencement, Open House, and Orientation.
12. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Student Activities.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree required. Previous experience in a college or university student activities program preferred. Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills needed with the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
