ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create original written content for display on NESN.com and its syndication partners
• Develop and edit original written content, video content and wire content
• Use photos, video, audio and social media to produce innovative content
• Edit content on various platforms to ensure a consistent and appropriate “look and feel” and editorial voice
• Be active on Twitter and comfortable working with social media tools
• Work with programming and production staff to develop editorial strategies and packages
• Determine and prioritize stories and ensure content has a consistent energy and "feel," and is compelling, engaging, understandable, informative and current
• Ensure all content meets NESN’s network standards for journalistic integrity and production quality
• Use analytics tools to identify audience trends and inform editorial decisions

qualifications:
• Excellent writing and editing skills, in terms of quality and proficiency, with a strong knowledge of AP style
• BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience
• Excellent news judgment
• Strong knowledge of New England sports and strong general sports knowledge
• Proficiency using multimedia and social media tools
• Ability to think quickly and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations

As directed by producers, the Assistant Content Producer will provide support to both live studio and remote productions and original programming by logging and editing videotape, researching, and gathering footage, operating the in-game score bug, and running the network ticker and prompter. RESPONSIBILITIES (vary depending upon the day):
• Screen and log videotape, including Red Sox and Bruins games, to learn camera angles
• Clear and melt videotape from MLB and NHL to determine best video for features, teases and promos
• Edit b-roll and highlights of other games for pre/post game shows
• Operate in-game score bug including all editorial interface, sponsorship, and promotion

• Create collaboration and buy-in through consistent conversation with all key content stakeholders (including team partners) on their assigned categories to facilitate the ideation process, and oversight of the creation and execution of cross-platform content plans for tentpole events (e.g., NFL Draft), with a strong focus on monetizable opportunities and engagement/user retention. Before execution, plans will be approved by Vice President of Content, Head of Production, Head of Digital/ Editorial and Head of Multi-Platform Programming. The specific focus of these tentpole events shall be: a) measurable multi-media growth on an annual basis, b) creation of content plans which are formed 3 to 6 months in advance c) identify which sales can be monetized and what content to change as necessary to meet sponsorship interest and demand.
• Generate thorough, detailed documentation on cross-platform initiatives/tentpoles. Identify rollouts details, marketing plans, communications plans, and content extensions. Work with the NESN research team to identify the key metrics needed to evaluate our success across all platforms for each unique initiative.
• Consistently communicate with VP of Content and designee from Finance to ensure that all content gathering for cross-platform content plans are falling within budget.
• Work closely with Marketing, Communications and Creative Services to collectively prioritize the key initiatives for marketing support on a daily, weekly, and quarterly basis.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Vice President (VP) of Content is an innovative and passionate leader that is part of a dynamic executive team. About You

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills and experience:
• Television/Streaming/Digital Editorial executive with strong business sensibility and a passion for producing great content. Must have previous experience managing and leading production, digital editorial and/or program development; experience with managing programming and production components of branding and promotions of a commercial television network, as well as experience leading programming/production with a DTC/Streaming venture and digital editorial team. A strong belief and passion for creating multi-platform brands and content is a must.
• Experience with live programming and/or timely digital news cycle is a must; success in building other dayparts, identifying strong secondary programming, creating sticky digital content strategy and game or event production is preferred.
• Proven track record of leading, managing, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating strong teams through growth, adversity, and change.

Position summary

NESN is seeking a strategic Head of Digital Platform Partnerships. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this individual will drive relationships with key partners across the digital, tech, and sports ecosystem. More specifically, this individual would lead relationships across media distribution platforms, strategic marketing channels, the broader NESN sports ecosystem, and other potential tech partners. Working with cross-functional teams, the ideal candidate is passionate about tech, sports, and media. As a strategic partnerships leader, the individual would bring a methodical approach to which partners we work/integrate with, our coverage model, and how we make the most of our relationships across the tech, media, and sports landscape, grow our digital and direct-to-consumer offerings.

Responsibilities
• Own and develop relationship with platform & tech partners, securing marketing commitments, early access to pilot programs, and other strategic growth opportunities
• Manage and grow our existing relationships with Social (YouTube, FB, Snap, TikTok, etc) and tech platforms (iOS, tvOS, Android, Roku, FIRETV, and more)
• Work with product and tech teams to prioritize platform-specific feature roll-outs, creating the business case and working with partners to maximize impact
• Identify and develop plans for new business opportunities and tech integrations
• Scope go-to-market strategies and support pilot efforts for new business initiatives
• Build data-driven, scenario-based models to evaluate business impact of strategic and business development initiatives (e.g., platform expansions, partnerships, co-marketing, etc.)
• Drive strategic planning projects and processes by developing 3-year and 5-year strategic plans to grow the business
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment, including ad sales
• Lead user acquisition deal negotiations and general business development
• Work with leads to source new distribution opportunities for audiences and platforms
• Create and present pitch decks and other materials as part of the partnership process
• Evaluate and optimize economic terms for product integration/marketing/comarketing deals
• Be a thought-leader in how to creatively structure and improve partnership agreements
• Collaborate with digital ops teams to ensure the successful launch of new partners
• Identify opportunities to grow the business outside of traditional relationships
• Perform ad-hoc analysis around specific initiatives/opportunities
• Develop business plans and drive growth around new business and partnership opportunities
• Coordinate with the content team to ensure proper promotion among partners of our content roadmap
• Work with Chief Marketing Officer to assess strategic opportunities, long term business planning, etc.
• Represent NESN at conferences and industry events

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or JD preferred
• 6+ years experience in consumer tech and media organizations and/or in strategy, business development, or partnerships
• 2+ years experience in a highly analytical role, including in DTC streaming, digital media, subscription-based tech, strategy/business development, management consulting, or investment banking
• Knowledge of online video and experience in online entertainment or new media with an understanding of social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and mobile app/connected TV distribution platforms (iTunes, Google Play Store, Amazon App Store, Roku store, etc)
• Experience developing strategic partnerships in the digital, media, sports, and/or tech industry
• Preference for fast-paced environment with limited formal structure and process
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics.
• Strong working knowledge of contracts and legal frameworks
• Experience leading partner negotiations
• Exceptional communication skills with a desire to exercise transparency and give/receive feedback

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Remote & Studio Operations, the Scheduling Specialist works with the Operations leadership team to plan coverage and schedule the Operations staff and resources. Through direction from the Operations Managers and Production leadership this position supports the Network’s television production needs including, all studios, control rooms, edit facilities, ENG and remote. Additionally, this position analyzes workflow and scheduling methods, offering alternatives to the current workflow for both in studio and remote locations.

The workweek and approximate work hours for this position is Monday through Friday 10AM – 6:30PM with some flexibility as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Schedule staff, facilities, and equipment to meet the needs of various productions and staff meetings
• Input schedules, facility and equipment usage into NESN’s scheduling software program, ScheduAll in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the organization
• As the super user, create and maintain staff schedules, work orders, user accounts and other system requirements for productions in ScheduAll
• Work with Production, Operations& Remote to coordinate and book equipment requests
• Maintain a solid and up-to-date understanding of show needs and corresponding skill sets, and staff expertise and interests; work towards establishing and maintaining an appropriate balance between all factors. Play an active role in planning and budgeting new initiatives and projects.
• Distribute and post work orders and schedules for network Operations weekly
• Set expectations by communicating changes and challenges to the appropriate manager
• Perform show and staff reconciliations w/ manager(s) and/or Finance with other network systems and report discrepancies.
• Logistical planning of gear/ equipment across Watertown and three remote studios along with Remote Production needs. Help suggest a system to be created to tag, track, schedule and follow gear location & timing.
• Know the workflows of cloud games vs. world feed vs. truck and how those impacts assigning resources
• Coordinate assigned events by communicating with mobile truck vendors, crewers, facilities, broadcast partners and production personnel.
• Create Production Information Books for every remote event that contain all relevant operations information including truck, crew and production team contacts, technical requirements, transmission, and facility information.
• Partner with the Operations Managers for on-boarding new members of the Operations team
• Think forwardly by anticipating problems, preventing conflicts and clearing roadblocks before they occur
• Successfully complete other related projects and tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4-6, or more years related television studio production/operations/remote experience
• Working knowledge of television operations roles and equipment
• Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills, and be a self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of a team
• Solid planning and organizational skills, and must be detail-orientedMust possess strong problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of successfully working in a fast-paced environment
• Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications is necessary; experience with ScheduAll is a plus; and proven ability to learn new applications quickly and use them effectively.
