As a Supervisor with New Look, you will work with your Store Manager to implement the ultimate shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they are given the highest level of service and they want to return back to us. You will inspire your team to ensure that our customers look good and can express themselves with the latest fashion wherever and whenever they want. You achieve this by setting exceptional standards and leading your people to deliver high quality results.

You will have previous retail management experience, gained from a fast paced environment with an impressive track record of results behind you.

New Look Cosmetics is a leading contract manufacturer of color cosmetics located in Chatsworth, CA. We are seeking to fill the position of Compounder for our 1st shift (8AM to 4:30PM, Monday-Friday). The ideal candidate will have experience in color cosmetics compounding (liquid and/or powder...
The compounder is responsible for preparation of batch formulations, compliance with company policies, compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, and safety procedures. The position works in conjunction with supervisor to perform the activities of the department, including timely completion of production batches, cooperation with other departments including QC/QA, and promoting teamwork within the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Review and comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and follow work order instructions precisely to prepare batches of cosmetic bulk (bulk batch sizes range from 10kg to 1000kg).
• Ensure production is performed in accordance with GMP standards and company SOPs.
• Document all entries in the batch record as required for process verification.
• Make necessary color adjustments to match master.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the R&D lab to resolve production issues – including color adjustments, formula adjustments, process adjustments, etc.
• Set up and tear down equipment as needed for cleaning.
• Keep all equipment clean and sanitized in accordance with SOPs and QA/QC instructions.
• Report any equipment issues to your supervisor or maintenance and fill out work requests as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring everyone’s safety.
• Dress in proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
• 2 years relevant work experience
• Color perception and color matching skills.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and GMP standards and procedures a plus.
• Ability to calculate percentages and perform basic math
• Ability to read and comprehend weights and measurements
• Ability to follow detailed instructions on mixing and blending a wide range of ingredients and materials with specific attention on timing and temperature.
• Ability to lift 50 lb. bags and move heavy drums off pallets.
• Able to use a computer and enter data
• Ability to record and document batch processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization skills and detail oriented.
• Critical thinker and problem solver.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
