• Preparing multi-state sales tax returns, nexus research, and general tax compliance
• Filing Secretary of State registrations and annual reports

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to be responsible for:
• Preparing multi-state sales tax returns, nexus research, and general tax compliance
• Filing Secretary of State registrations and annual reports
• Assisting the Controller with preparation of Federal and Multi State Income and Franchise tax returns
• Assisting with federal and state audits
• Responding to inquiries and notices from regulatory agencies
• Preparing complex account reconciliations, analysis, and general accounting work
• Compiling and reviewing data for integration between accounting and tax systems
• Showing Initiative in improving processes and efficiencies
We want to talk to you if:
• You hold a BS in accounting
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and tax compliance
• You are detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• You have strong time management skills and are able to work independently
• You have excellent problem-solving skills
• You demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
We’re really intrigued if:
• You have prior experience with Avalara and/or Vertex sales tax systems
• You have prior experience with CCH ProSystem fx and TurboTax software
• You have prior experience with tax or accounting system implementation
• You have a CPA license and/or master’s degree in taxation

Tasks include cleaning, mowing, trimming, painting, driving, snow removal, trips to the airport, as well as other occasional errands and duties to be assigned on a daily basis. Additionally, position requires that an individual be able to perform general construction duties that include framing... plumbing, drywall repair, ceiling installation, etc.
