Job Description Senior Product Owner, Search As our Senior Product Owner, you will work with a global team to develop and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap of solutions for Search across ni.com. It's one part business strategy, one part tech strategy - understanding customer needs and the best technology for our unique approach. Every day you'll talk to customers and stakeholders... across business areas to understand their goals and turn those into features and capabilities that drive business outcomes and an exceptional customer experience. Any Product Owner can drive a product to implementation and go-live, but we want you to ensure that we are building the right capabilities to create customer value. Let's Engineer Ambitiously together. At NI, we're a globally recognized top employer looking for problem solvers who value diversity and fresh perspectives. People that are bold, kind, and willing to take chances. We build on the big ideas of those big dreamers to make their visions a reality from 5G and medical innovations to autonomous driving and the future of space travel. No matter your career path or dream, we're here for you, for each other, and for the next generation of innovators who think bigger, aim higher, and go faster. Are you up for the challenge of helping shape humanity for the next 100 years? Let's get started. Required Skills & Qualifications Well qualified candidates will have three years or more experience as a product manager, product owner, or similar role using data and customer input to deliver software-based and digital solutions in an Agile environment. To thrive in this role, you should have experience managing a broad set of internal and external customers, developing a product vision, strategy, objectives, and roadmap, and an understanding of search platforms and technology. Here's what you can expect as a Senior Product Owner for Search:
Build the strategy and vision for Search on ni.com through your knowledge of Search technologies and understanding of our customer needs. Present your ideas with supporting data to align the technical team, leadership, and stakeholders to the same compelling vision for customer success. Create a Search experience, then keep dreaming of ways to make it better. You'll have projects that range from implementation of a brand-new search platform to continuous improvements to improve search speed and relevancy to give our customers the right results. The team is currently implementing Lucidworks Fusion, an industry-leading search platform, and you will lead the team through this transformation. Use Agile principles and processes to keep the engineering team on track. You'll work in Aha! for creating product roadmaps and Azure DevOps for managing the team's backlog, but experience with any product management and development software is transferable. As Product Owner, you're in a leadership role that requires you to influence without authority. You have to manage expectations across a broad set of stakeholders and you're responsible for determining the priorities for the team. Through constant communication with the stakeholders, technology teams, and NI customers, you'll use feedback and data to determine the most important projects and tasks to focus on. Data-driven decision making and analysis is a key responsibility. You will set goals for product outcomes and metrics, then closely track your solutions to ensure they are achieving the expected results and make adjustments to priorities when they aren't. You're expected to not only be able to look ahead to what's next internally, but be able to look ahead in industry to determine what we should be considering or implementing to better serve the success of our customers. Your role isn't to be in the weeds with the team to determine how we will build something; your role is to drive strategic vision. NI does not petition for H-1B visas for this position.
