We are looking for a Footwear Technical Developer 1 to be an integral part of our Footwear Product Team, creating amazing footwear for the Classics consumer. As a member of our Men’s Classics team, we’ll look for you to display the ability to gain knowledge of Classics consumer, ensuring our footwear meets their style, performance and comfort needs while also meeting internal costing targets.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As our Footwear Tech Developer I in Classics, you'll assist in driving product and process excellence within a team environment for your assigned projects. You will convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business. You'll engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability and sustainability targets. In addition, you’ll ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured. In short, you get to create amazing footwear!

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a member of the Classics Footwear Team, you will work collaboratively with key functional partners throughout the Product Development process. This includes Footwear Engineering, Footwear Product Testing, Footwear Material Design and Material Development, Product Design, Product Management, Product Merchandising, Sourcing and Operations, and our overseas partners – both within NIKE and external to NIKE. You will report to the Footwear Tech Development Director in Men’s Classics.

You will need to navigate the Nike matrix to ensure that our processes model and match NIKE Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence. You are the key point of contact for our overseas partners and ensure that communication during the product development process is clear and accurate.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

This role will provide support for Nike Direct Digital Loss Prevention for NA territories. You will use data to reduce risk while reducing friction for Nike consumers. You will be encouraged to learn and deliver insights and solutions to improve operational efficiency. You will be considered a SME within the department and will be able to provide mentorship and assistance to internal and cross-functional teammates.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be part of North America Nike Digital Direct Operations, working collaboratively with Nike Digital Commerce, Nike Direct, and external partners.

The role will partner closely with peers who are leading advanced analytics and data product delivery teams to ensure that requirements from key partners are being translated to analytical capabilities, You will apply various data modeling, visualization and analysis techniques to mine data to identify trends that suggest new ways to mitigate fraud.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical subject area such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or similar area; or combination of relevant education, experience and training

- A self-starter attitude, flexible problem solving, and a deep curiosity for learning new and evolving techniques, exploring solutions and delivering results.

- Experience with Data Visualization Platforms (Tableau preferred)

- Familiarity with analytics tools (Spark, Git, Jupyter) and cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred)

- Advanced SQL, Python or similar experience in analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets

- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks and working with moderate to large-scale data sets (>100GB) will be a plus

- Understanding of web development, API calls, Splunk, Airflow is not necessary but will be useful
• Remote Work Option – Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $77,500 - $152,500. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate’s location, qualifications, skills, and experience.

On occasion tasked with light plumbing and non-skilled electrical work, including changing light bulbs. Conducting minor preventive maintenance on smaller equipment to include changing V-belts, belt lacing, take-up adjustments, and minor lubrication tasks. Responsible for monitoring material movements in product zones and clearing jams. Maintains cleanliness in the worksites shop and on the DC floor when repairs are complete. Performs administrative tasks to support maintenance record keeping in CMMS and spare parts storerooms. Participation in safety training, skills training, and process improvement meetings. Ensures work is completed using appropriate safety guidelines.
