Cloud and Network Services (CNS)

The CNS organization has defined a special solution architecture role, called Solution Consultant. This role requires excellent and broad knowledge of the entire CNS portfolio, expertise in Dish’s networks and excellent communications skills to match.
The person in this role will become a trusted advisor to the sales team and the customer in order to drive strategic solution strategies for break-in opportunities and to lead solution definition of offers that are tailored to meeting customer’s needs and winning new business. An innate curiosity of the customer’s environment and needs, a desire to solve their problems with a solution mind-set and a good knowledge of the CNS portfolio capabilities will be required to drive solution thought leadership with the sales team and customer with the ultimate goal of growing the business
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
• Identify customer ‘latent needs’, evangelize CNS solutions and initiate new opportunities
• Engage with Account Managers (AMs) to define proactive, strategic initiatives towards customers
• Own customer solution blue print, establish technical vision and business value
• Position to the customer “Why/What/When/How” our solution will solve their business problem or a future need …. Become a Trusted Advisor to Dish
• Support AMs with Qualification of opportunities at the pre/RFI/RFP stage.
• For Multi-domain deals, own the technical offer strategy and collateral, works with key Domain solution experts.
• Support AMs in customer negotiations and closure of opportunities
Your skills and experience
You will have:
• At least 10 years in Telecommunications with experience in a customer facing roles like Solution Architect, Technical Sales Engineer, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree In Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, customer interfacing, leadership and management skills.
• Excellent presentation skills to present to CxO level management, senior management as well as intermediate management levels expecting more technical content
• The candidate needs to have demonstrated that they have created a trusted relationship with a customer. This is a key requirement for this role.
• Knowledge of the CNS product portfolio and domain areas
It would be nice if you also had:
• Knowledge in many or most of the following:
• Cloud (OpenStack, Containers, Mobile Edge Computing),
• OSS/BSS applications (analytics, service assurance, orchestration, etc),
• 5G (network slicing, policy/payment, orchestration, security, analytics, etc),
• Device management (eSIMs, IoT, customer care, etc),
• Element management (NetAct and EdenNet SON),
• Software development technologies (cloud native, telecommunications open source projects, commons software foundation, CI/CD, devops tool chains), and IMS (VoLTE, SBC, SDM).

How will industry 4.0 be transformed by immersive live streaming?
Right now we are evolving from a research program-based project to an SW product. We need your competence to streamline our SW development practicalities to agile mode with modern CI/CD tools. Your main responsibilities would be in application SW development with a DevOps twist.
In this venture, the software covers areas such as imaging, media connectivity, video analytics, various end-user applications and APIs towards enterprise applications and other Nokia products. Key software technologies include C , Python, and C++ ; WebRTC, RTP/RTCP-based streaming ; containerization and virtualization in Kubernetes and Docker . The ideal candidate would also have experience working in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google). Experience in working with IoT and Android applications is considered an advantage.
You will report to the Head of Product Development . The location is in Tampere Finland.
As part of our team, you will:
• Develop application-level SW components for our state-of-the-art multimedia system.
• Lead the change from SW project to a product by implementing the needed pipelines and automations from development repositories to deliverables.
• Support development and quality assurance operations with your expertise in Linux and Android application execution environments and Docker containers as well as first-level debugging or logging capabilities.
• Together with Nokia Technical Sales teams, deliver the SW solution successfully to leading industrial customers .
• Work with 3rd party hardware and software vendors to complement Nokia technical teams .
Your skills and experience
You have the following experience
• Full stack coding skills including Python, C/C++ and basic knowledge on web-based UI development
• 5+ years experience in coding, testing and DevOps types of tasks from at least two agile SW projects
• You have experience in driving change in software development organizations to improve time-to-market, enhance quality and improve productivity
• Tools like Jira and Jenkins are familiar to you and you know how to make the most out of them
• Basic networking skills so that you know what to check first if the services of our distributed system are not communicating to each other
• Willingness to learn new things and creativity to find solutions to tackle obstacles
• Communication skills and being fluent in English.
• Being a team player, self-guided and goal-oriented personality with strong cooperation skills with different teams within or outside their own company

The Resident Engineer role is part of our IP/Optical Regional Business Center (RBC). • Experience in IP routing protocols such as IS-IS, OSPF, BGP. with hands-on expertise troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuring with the noted protocols.
• Experience in in MPLS protocols LDP and RSVP-TE, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS.
It would be nice if you also had:
• Nokia SRA, Cisco CCIE and/or Juniper JNCIE or equivalent certification preferred
• Nokia products experience desired (7950XRS, 7750SR, 7705SAR, 7210SAS and 5620SAM.
• Experience in Quality of Service (QoS) implementation/testing.
• Experience using testing tools like Spirent, IXIA, Iperf, and JDSU.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills to end clients.

You will also lead a team of Nokia Deepfield consulting engineers.
What you will learn and contribute to
In this role, you will use your in-depth technical knowledge to lead detailed, engaging, and challenging conversations with customers about complex DDoS and analytics solutions. At the same time, you will to be able to uplevel the discussion when needed, and articulate concisely at CxO level the business value of Nokia Deepfield. You will work closely with PLM and Development to convey and prioritize new product requirements.
• You will be the primary customer interface for all pre-sales engagements. Deliver presentations, customer demonstrations, technical workshops and trials.
• You will work closely with Deepfield Business Development to quickly qualify/disqualify opportunities and focus the priorities of the Deepfield CE team accordingly.
• You will ensure regular follow-up on the key opportunities in the region. This will often require coordination with adjacent teams (BU leadership, engineering, PLM, other RBC teams, sales) as necessary to define and deliver optimal solution to the customer requirements.
