The Candidate Should

The Assistant Director (Research Compliance) helps to lead and drive the research compliance framework and initiatives across NTU. Due to increasing regulatory controls imposed by various local legislations (e.g. ABA, HBRA, PDPA) on research activities involving humans and animals, there has been expanded requirements on the proactive monitoring of such research by host institutions to ensure greater protection and welfare of humans and animals.

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a biomedical related field and related areas from an accredited university. Masters and PhD preferred.
• At least 6-8 years’ experience in research administration/ research ethics/ research compliance/ regulatory affairs/ quality assurance. Experience in hands-on animal or human research work is an advantage.
• Possess knowledge of local laws and regulations related to animal or human ethics.
• Possess strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional, institutional relationships.
• Able to manage complex situations, work collaboratively with key stakeholders, and multitask.
• Able to work with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
