Job Description:

Duties Include:

Weekly meetings with instructor for briefing of lab activities. Lab
Assistants will assist students with lab activities including
assisting students with microscope work, physiology-based
experiments, cadaver work, dissections, and helping with set up and
take down of labs. This could include answering student questions,
explaining material to students for further clarification,
assisting with data collection and interpretation. Anatomy and
Physiology Lab Assistants will also supervise weekly open
labs.

Requirements:

Specific Skills/Aptitudes: Applicants who have successfully
completed the biology course for which they are applying with a
grade of B or higher are eligible to work in that biology lab.
Applicants should enjoy working with and helping other students. If

Job Description:

Basic Function and Responsibility:

The Web Developer will design, maintain, and support the front-end
of the College's website including building and implementing new
templates, websites, landing pages, and web pages while integrating
back-end applications. This includes monitoring and analyzing site
traffic, making recommendations to improve traffic, troubleshooting
and correcting web-related problems that arise, as well as
performing day-to-day administration of the College's Web Content
Management System (CMS). Other responsibilities include development
consulting through all project phases and supporting internal
initiatives.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
• Available and on-call during an after-hours crisis or emergency
situations to deploy messaging on the web. Support campus and
community notification of emergencies via the website and assist
with emergency response planning and preparation.
• Stays current of technology and best practices. Regularly
attends training and proactively conducts research when
available.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
• Codes, tests, documents, implements, and continuously improves
the College's website. Develops plans and identify action items to
design, maintain, and support the website.
• Performs analysis and programming as needed. Works
collaboratively with internal users and external vendors, to
determine feasibility, reach desired goals, and determine the best
method to accomplish the objective.
• Provides the necessary technical knowledge to staff member(s).
Serves as a resource when needed.
• Liaison with CMS provider on template enhancements. Write
well-designed and efficient code by using best practices, utilizing
ASP.NET, CSS, XHTML, DHTML, PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, SQL,
CSS, and combinations of languages when needed. Develop and modify
website workflows, training practices, and user access within the
CMS.
• Apply understanding of accessibility issues and tools to ensure
all Oakton website comply with current federal regulations for ADA
accessibility. Provide solutions for internal stakeholders
regarding accessibility, compatibility, and usability, (i.e., W3C,
Section 508) including cross-platform, email client, and web
browser issues.
• Develop plans and identify tasks required to complete projects.
Project leadership includes coding, testing, documentation, quality
assurance, and implementation. Provides critical motivation and
momentum to team members to ensure a successful implementation in
order to meet deadlines.
• Support development consulting through all project phases and
supporting internal initiatives.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting, and day-to-day
administration of the College's Web Content Management System
(CMS). Including the primary point of contact for the
CMS.
• Set up staff and faculty user permissions and workflow within
the content management system. Prepare staff and faculty as content
contributors within the content management system and provide
ongoing support.
• Develop and implement HTML/XML-based templates and others as
required by the CMS.
• Develop cascading style sheets based on responsive design to
optimize Oakton's web site for new technologies such as
smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
• Provide support and technical expertise in converting and
maintaining college documents to web-friendly formats (i.e., Annual
Report, Strategic Plan, Handbooks).
• Support full lifecycle of web-based forms to meet the business
requirements of internal and external audiences (i.e., Veterans
Enrollment Certificate, Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal,
Transcript Evaluation Request).
• Collaborate with the College Relations team to implement
digital assets consistent with industry web standards and Oakton's
brand and writing standards.
• Analyze website traffic for trends and user patterns to
identify and quantify web visitor habits and behavior.
• Lead concept development for all web enhancements and periodic
redesigns.
• Assures that software and web systems are at current revision
levels and ensures acceptable levels of performance.
• Manage, coordinate, and execute web design and content changes
with both College Relations and IT.
• Collaborate with IT to implement technical changes to the
website when user experience issues are observed in the analytics
tool.

Requirements:

Hiring Qualifications and Working Conditions:
• Familiarity with web analytics tools and concepts (Google
Analytics preferred).
• Excellent organizational skills with proven track record in
project management using effective written and verbal communication

code.

Physical Demands:

Mobility to move from building to building on-Campus. Work is

Dispensary Operations

Course covers logistic concepts including transportation, inventory, packaging, warehousing, materials handling, order processing, safety protocol and facility location.

Part-time faculty are paid on a lecture hour equivalents (LHE) basis. For most courses, the LHE is the same as a credit hour. For others, the LHE represents additional work for teaching the class, such as grading papers for Composition classes or teaching a class with a laboratory section (computers, languages, and the sciences); in those cases, the LHE represents a figure higher than the credit hour. All part-time faculty start at the beginning pay rates, regardless of the level and type of experience obtained elsewhere. Those rates for the 2022-23 academic year are $1173/LHE for faculty without doctorates and $1243/LHE for faculty with doctorates

Part-time faculty are hired on a semester-by-semester basis. All assignments are conditioned on sufficient enrollment. Once a course starts, the part time faculty member is expected to complete the course.

1. Assist the Head Coach planning and conducting in season and off season team practice and conditioning programs.

10. Assist the Athletic Department in the academic support of student athletes as well as the facilitation of academic support activities including the collection of academic progress reports.

3. Collegiate level playing experience preferred.

4. Knowledge of NJCAA/NCAA/NAIA rules and regulations is preferred.

6. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills and positive role model for young adults is expected.

7. Ability to work independently in an unstable and chaotic environment desired.

8. Valid Class "D" driver's license required.

9. Work performed in different environments including interior/office work areas, gymnasiums and outdoor areas.

10. Work will required significant physical effort associated with coaching and teaching volleyball skills and techniques. The work will also require the lifting and movement of equipment up to 50 pounds

Part-time faculty are paid on a lecture hour equivalents (LHE) basis. For most courses, the LHE is the same as a credit hour. For others, the LHE represents additional work for teaching the class, such as grading papers for Composition classes or teaching a class with a laboratory section (computers, languages, and the sciences); in those cases, the LHE represents a figure higher than the credit hour. All part-time faculty start at the beginning pay rates, regardless of the level and type of experience obtained elsewhere. Those rates for the 2022-23 academic year are $1173/LHE for faculty without doctorates and $1243/LHE for faculty with doctorates

Part-time faculty advance one step within the salary schedule with the successful completion of 2 fall & spring semesters where 3+ LHEs are taught in each semester.

Additional Information:

Part-time faculty are hired on a semester-by-semester basis. A reasonable effort is made to assure the assignment of courses to more senior part-time faculty who are fully qualified by virtue of their education, training, work experience as related to current technology and pedagogical techniques, and who have had a history of successful performance at Oakton College.

All assignments are conditioned on sufficient enrollment. Once a course starts, the part time faculty member is expected to complete the course.

Reporting to the vice president for student affairs, the Dean is a
senior member of the student affairs leadership team. The Dean is
charged with providing overall leadership and direction for
developing, implementing and monitoring critical programs and
processes for staff and students within the Division of Student

respect throughout Oakton College. The Dean oversees important
