Role Summary
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), the Compliance Analyst plays an important role in the day-to-day running of OC’s compliance program. They are a second line of defense compliance activities, ensuring that all business activities and operations follow OC’s Policies and Procedures, the Bank Secrecy Act, CFTC/NFA regulations, and other legal requirements.
The Compliance Analyst assists in the implementation, maintenance and administration of the compliance program. This includes conducting compliance testing and reporting, identifying compliance issues and gaps, maintaining compliance training programs, monitoring regulatory development in financial legislation, assisting with customer complaints, conducting tests on various areas of the business, and analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of compliance policies and procedures.
This position interacts with business partners and other global OANDA staff to ensure OC complies with the various laws, rules, policies and ethical standards governing the forex and cryptocurrency markets.
Specific Duties
• Reviewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements.
• Ensure Compliance risks are appropriately identified and addressed.
• Advising business on compliance with cryptocurrency and retail foreign exchange rules and regulations.
• Approving firm marketing and advertising material, including website copy and FAQs.
• Oversight and management of customer complaint handling, including maintenance of internal complaint log.
• Maintenance of internal Issues log, and gifts and entertainments registers.
• Management and administration of all employee regulated online e-training.
• Performing other Compliance-related responsibilities and ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-4 years of relevant Compliance experience at a similar type and size financial firm.
• Knowledge of CFTC/ NFA requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as pragmatic decision making skills.
• Highly driven and motivated, organized with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
• Analytic, with attention to detail and an enquiring mind and investigative approach.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency requirements is a plus.
• Able to independently manage timelines.

As a Team Lead, Quantitative Analysis at OANDA, you will be responsible for creating trading models for the automated hedging and risk management of client flow in equities, equity indices, FX, cryptos, and commodities. In this role, you will be leading a team and analyzing large data sets with years of client order and price data, with the goal of creating and implementing new hedging models.
