Jazz at Lincoln Center seeks a detail-oriented audio-video Associate, who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Jazz at Lincoln Center recordings, libraries, and the ongoing digital archiving of unique JALC recordings. The Associate will report to the Director of Music Library and Archives and will collaborate with departments across the organization to successfully carry out duties.

Responsibilities
• Digitally archive singular recordings from JALC tours and performances, education programs, and other miscellaneous Jazz at Lincoln Center events. Track inventory and recording metadata in database.
• Label and organize files according to determined naming conventions.
• Coordinate transfers from JALC Recording Studio and video capture machines—season recordings & logs.
• Facilitate master recording transfers to audio engineers for Blue Engine release work or licensing requests as directed.
• Fulfill audio and video file requests as requested for internal or external use according to approved protocols. Maintain logs.
• Back up all acquired audio and video files – both low and high res.
• Maintain recording acquisition logs and update database listing as acquired.
• Organize and maintain current and past season recordings, recording logs, and track sheets.
• Assist with digitizing archival video footage as needed.
• Maintain holdings from produced Jazz at Lincoln Center Radio Shows (Murray Street, SiriusXM/Effanel, Jazz Night in America, etc.)
• Assist with radio show requests, RHARS transfers, Archive transfers, and usage tracking of commercial CD library.
• Make audio and video clips for internal and external requests.
• Assist as needed in other Music Library and Archives areas.

Qualifications
• Two years work experience in the performing arts, preferably jazz.
• Working knowledge of ProTools digital recording software and the transfer process.
• Working knowledge of video formats and basic editing skills.
• Strong organizational and computer skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• High level of motivation, ability to work both independently and part of a team.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work to a deadline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in person and by phone.
• Knowledge of jazz music and the artists and professionals in the jazz business.
