OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) is a 144-bed, full-service children’s hospital, with more than 115 pediatric specialists in 40+ subspecialties. Recognized as a regional leader, Children’s Hospital is the first state-designated Pediatric Critical Care Center. CHOI is home to the only level IV neonatal intensive care center outside of Chicago and is the Regional Perinatal Care Center for Central Illinois. It is also the first state-designated Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in downstate Illinois.

Children’s Hospital of Illinois serves as the major pediatric teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP). UICOMP is one of four regional campuses that make up the nation’s largest public medical school. The Peoria campus is the sponsoring institution of 11 residency programs and 8 fellowship training programs. One of their strategic initiatives is to add a Urology Residency program in the future. The initial planning stages have begun for the urology residency, and the pediatric urologists would have an opportunity to be a part of developing the educational training program.

Both the Chief and faculty positions will hold a faculty appointment at UICOMP. Academic appointment/rank will be commensurate with the individual’s experience. Their Division has strong, established, urological and multidisciplinary clinical programs with opportunities to participate in clinical research.

Candidate qualifications:

Proven track record in leadership, clinical excellence, patient care, mentorship, and education

Board certification or board eligibility in pediatric urology

Eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois

An understanding of the general clinical disciplines within pediatric urology

Demonstrated ability to treat all pediatric urological conditions and perform general and complex surgeries within the specialty

Experience in robotics is preferred; must be willing to learn if not already comfortable with robotics cases

Experience/Interest in Spina Bifida patients preferred

POSITION SUMMARY: The Client Device Support (CDS) Specialist I provides basic technical troubleshooting and assistance with OSF computer systems. They assist staff requests to resolve basic computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or remotely. They provide assistance with the use of computer hardware, software, printing, adds/move /changes, and installations. Troubleshooting Service Request and Incidents with business and clinical applications, office productivity suite, electronic mail, and various operating systems. Prrovides assistance in assigned implementation projects and/or relocations. They escalate concerns to higher-level technicians as appropriate when unable to provide resolution. Maintains simple inventory control and asset management. CDS Specialist I normally provides support at one or two OSF locations/facilities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Hgh School Diploma or GED

Experience: ​A basic to intermediate level of computer information systems and application support knowledge.

1 year of client device support experience.

1 year of field service computer support experience in a business environment or related experience.

Ability to troubleshoot computer systems problems at a level generally acquired through completion of at least 1 year of field service support experience in a business environment or related experience.

Ability to proficiently operate a personal computer and computer software programs necessary to carry out principal duties including Microsoft Office Suite, Visio diagrams and organizational specific systems Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.

Analytical skills necessary to diagnose basic to intermediate computer hardware/device, workstation operating systems, office automation software and business problems and apply information system technology for effective resolution.

Working knowledge of and basic troubleshooting of Microsoft applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Some form of technical accreditation in a related field. Experience in information technology customer service Experience with key OSF applications/technology.
