Role Description:
You will play a critical role in safeguarding our systems, protocols, and smart contracts against potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Your responsibilities will span across the entire development lifecycle, from design conceptualization to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate security best practices and security as code into the entire development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and automate security tests within the CI/CD pipeline.
• Assess Existing Security and Implement security controls and measures to mitigate vulnerabilities in our software stack, including front-end, deployment architecture, smart contracts, and blockchain code
• Strengthen security incident response protocols and lead security incident investigations when necessary, ensuring swift and effective resolution of security incidents.
• Conduct thorough internal and external security audits of our smart contracts, protocols, and systems to identify and mitigate potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with external auditors and security experts to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Proactively develop and implement detection-as-code to identify anomalous behaviors and attacks across the environment
• Audit and address architectural flaws within the Cosmos & Osmosis stack to enhance overall system security and resilience.
• Investigate vulnerability reports related to Osmosis products and systems
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Web3 security threats and trends, and proactively propose solutions to mitigate them.
• Participate in a global on call rotation to help respond to security alerts and incident escalations
Required Experience:
• Technical Skills:
• Proven experience in security engineering with a focus on Web3 technologies - 3+ years.
• In-depth understanding of blockchain security principles and cryptography (e.g., hash functions, digital signatures) - 3+ years.
• Solid knowledge of smart contract vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques, ideally relevant to Cosmos (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflows, access control issues within Tendermint/Cosmos SDK) - 2+ years
• Experience with security testing tools and methodologies for Cosmos applications (e.g., static analysis tools like Mythril, dynamic analysis tools) - 2+ years
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in Cosmos development (e.g., Go for Chain, Rust for Smart Contracts) - 2+ years
• Understanding of secure coding practices for Cosmos smart contracts and modules (e.g., secure coding for IBC applications) - 2+ years
• Knowledge of bridge vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques for cross chain transfers - 1+ years
• Non-Technical Skills:

• Current or former Osmosis Prime subscriber with at least 3 months of usage

• Attended the 4 monthly meetings and completed 4 monthly surveys.
• Completed at least 25 referrals and hosted 1 event
• Received 260 points and your certificate of completion
• Reliable and detail-oriented leader who can commit at least 10 hours a month to supporting your team and engaging in the program at a higher level
• Passionate and creative leader who imagines more to improve medical education and healthcare outcomes
• Lifelong learner who reaches further and wants to develop professionally
• Mission and values-aligned teammate who can build and foster relationships with Osmosis teammates and a global medical community
• Proactive and solutions-oriented teammate who has a bias towards action and solving problems collaboratively.
What You'll Do:
• Serve as the main contact, advisor, and manager for OMEF/ONSA students in your cohort:
• Meet 1:1 within the first two weeks of the program start date
• Share resources that are relevant to their education and needs
• Successfully onboard your new students and engage them from day 1
• Build strong relationships with the students in your cohort and regularly check-in via messages and video check ins
• Attend all required meetings
• Attend monthly 1:1 with Community Managers
• Attend 1 of 2 monthly community meetings
• Attend our monthly Regional Lead meeting along with completing the monthly RL survey

About the Program
As a Regional Lead (RL), you will serve as a key member of the Osmosis team and a leader on your campus! Over the course of an academic year (from August 2024 to April 2025), you'll guide a group of students through our programs as they lead events at their school, publish blogs and social media content with Osmosis, connect with healthcare students around the globe, and improve medical education through feedback, hackathons, and creative innovation! You'll help advance our mission of empowering clinicians and caregivers around the world and spread the Osmosis values to help create a more caring world!
Who You Are
• Previous enrollment and strong performance in either the OMEF or ONSA programs
• Current or former Osmosis Prime subscriber with at least 3 months of usage
• Current health professional student [MD, DO, MBBS, DDS, PharmD, NP, PA, etc] with a strong academic standing
• Attended the 4 monthly meetings and completed 4 monthly surveys.
• Completed at least 25 referrals and hosted 1 event
• Received 260 points and your certificate of completion
• Reliable and detail-oriented leader who can commit at least 10 hours a month to supporting your team and engaging in the program at a higher level
• Passionate and creative leader who imagines more to improve medical education and healthcare outcomes
• Lifelong learner who reaches further and wants to develop professionally
• Mission and values-aligned teammate who can build and foster relationships with Osmosis teammates and a global medical community

What You'll Do:
• Serve as the main contact, advisor, and manager for OMEF/ONSA students in your cohort:
• Meet 1:1 within the first two weeks of the program start date
• Share resources that are relevant to their education and needs
• Successfully onboard your new students and engage them from day 1
• Build strong relationships with the students in your cohort and regularly check-in via messages and video check ins
• Attend all required meetings
• Attend monthly 1:1 with Community Managers
• Attend 1 of 2 monthly community meetings
• Attend our monthly Regional Lead meeting along with completing the monthly RL survey

As a part of the Osmosis team, you will create board-style practice questions for our new Neurology series within our Clinical Sciences project. We are looking for passionate clinical educators to have an impact in the creation of clinically-relevant content, accessible to a first-time medical learner.
• Write realistic clinical vignettes and comprehensive explanations that follow the Osmosis style guide, including adhering to Osmosis standards for inclusive language
• Review and edit your questions as needed at the recommendation of the Question Editors with a focus on clinical accuracy, precision, readability, and educational value
• Work with medical illustration team to create images and figures highlighting important medical concepts or disease processes
• Attend team meetings as needed and regular check-ins with the question writing team and Director of Medical Assessment
• Identify and complete other tasks as needed

• Terminal medical degree earned within the U.S. (Required)
• Successful completion of USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 exams (Required)
