The Midland Daily News seeks an MMSE to maximize advertising sales potential through the development of quality business relationships and the promotion of new/existing advertising products. This position requires a heavy amount of prospecting and lead development with local businesses. We pride ourselves on simplifying the marketing process for our customers... while helping advertisers track the impact of their campaigns and understand their advertising options. In short, we help our customers grow their business.

Responsibilities:
• Consistently meeting/exceeding all print and digital revenue goals.
• Understanding clients’ advertising needs and developing the ideal marketing solution for them utilizing the consultative sales approach.
• Delivering customized sales presentations in person or by phone/web-demos
• Generating new leads by making cold calls and maintaining an awareness of new businesses opening in the area
• Identifying and prospecting new customers and recognizing new opportunities to drive profitable revenue in the print and digital markets.
• Achieve sales goals and communicate progress and strategies to reach goals with management.
• Calling on executive-level decision makers and communicating the proposition as well as our benefit to their company.
• Planning for and monitoring acquired/assigned accounts on our websites as well as on social media.
• Build a strong rapport with advertising customers and the community.
• Organize professional presentations for monthly and yearly contracts.
• Continuous review, updating files and active management of digital accounts.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of sales experience with a proven record of successfully exceeding goals.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
