The Wilson Professional Learning Manager position is a remote, in-person or hybrid, full-time position which involves supporting and managing Wilson Literacy Specialists who provide Wilson professional learning primarily from a home office.

A Wilson Professional Learning Manager is responsible for the performance of a Professional Learning Team comprised of Literacy Specialists and On-call Trainers. As well as providing support to individual team members and direction for their daily work, primary responsibilities include day-to-day direction of the teams, comprehensive regional reporting, coaching and developmental opportunities for internal staff, regional LS assignments, coordination of efforts and balancing of assignments, management of coordination amongst assigned clients and the teams and between team members, and adherence to the Plan delivery schedule and guidelines.

The Wilson Professional Learning Manager will also guide team talent identification and oversee the continued professional development of employees acting as a driving force behind the progression of team members. Some travel to support team members in their field will be required.

Essential Job Functions:
Serves as Manager for all employment aspects of a team of Wilson Literacy Specialist. Provides daily oversight and direction to regional Implementation Team Supervises assigned Literacy Specialists and On-Call trainers to ensure training objectives are met, including performance evaluation, training, work distribution, and problem resolution in conjunction with the Fidelity Team and mentors Provides ongoing supervision, support, guidance and mentoring to Wilson Literacy Specialists in implementing Wilson programs with fidelity according to WLT standards and Plan guidelines. Participates in the recruitment and hiring of Wilson Literacy Specialists. Collaboratively plans and leads on-boarding of Wilson Literacy Specialists as required. Works collaboratively with Wilson assignment team to coordinate and determine training assignments for Wilson Literacy Specialists. Monitors schedules of assigned Literacy Specialists Supports Literacy Specialists by observing, offering feedback remotely and in person in the field and to promote fidelity of implementation of Wilson programs and professional learning. Works collaboratively with Wilson Literacy Specialists, IT/Tech Development staff, other members of the Customer Experience Department as needed, to troubleshoot and resolve training challenges that arise. Writes and follows up on Literacy Specialists annual performance reviews and goal setting. Plans and hosts regularly scheduled group and 1:1 meetings with assigned Literacy Specialists and fellow Wilson Professional Learning Managers and the Sr. Director of Professional Learning. Contributes to programmatic initiatives and implementation ideas as requested. Oversees the professional learning eligibility and credentials of Literacy Specialist team members to ensure Literacy Specialists are maintaining their status and reinstating eligibility/credentialing as needed including state/district background clearances where required. Participates in ongoing professional development to set and/or maintain own eligibility to conduct all Wilson professional learning offerings, including Wilson Dyslexia Therapist (W.D.P.) credential. Contribute to the development and facilitation of LS meetings Provides assistance and expert advice to the Wilson Certification Board, as requested. Maintains close and effective working relationships with the Wilson Dyslexia Specialist Team, the Education Department, Literacy Advisor Team, the Customer Support Department, and the Wilson Fidelity Team Serves as a resource to the others in the Wilson Customer Experience Department by answering questions related to Wilson programming and the broader fields of structured literacy and the sciences of reading and implementation. Keeps abreast of educational research and trends in literacy education, particularly as it relates to learners with dyslexia, dyslexia resources, and dyslexia legislation. Attends conferences, seminars and other events as assigned and shares learning with Fidelity and other teams as appropriate. Understands and display Wilson s values. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Skills:
Able to manage educational professionals. Technological aptitude and eagerness to increase technological skill level with front-end applications as they relate to Wilson professional learning and other assignments including but not limited to NetSuite. Able to prioritize, track and manage workload efficiently. Displays excellent organizational skills. Able to facilitate meetings effectively. Able to triage client and employee concerns. Thorough knowledge of multisensory structured language pedagogy and a natural with multisensory language teaching Strong oral and written communication skills Able to instruct, guide and manage educational professionals including the ability to provide constructive feedback and support company goals. Attends to details and pursues high quality professional learning outcomes. Proven ability to host effective online meetings: Intuitive knowledge of technology tools for video presentation Ability to make participants feel comfortable with technology in a virtual environment including ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues. Ability to establish credibility with program knowledge and technical skills. Ability to demonstrate genuine energy while building a rapport/establishing a community and engage with remote participants. Flexibility and the ability to remain calm under pressure/technical malfunctions. Ability to maintain remote participant s attention through effective use of voice, tone, volume, and pitch. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

Education or Certification:
Master s degree in education or related field; concentration in reading a plus Wilson Reading System Level II Certification with current W.D.T. credential a plus Current Wilson Credentialed Trainer (W.C.T.) Credential a plus
Experience
5+ years experience presenting Wilson workshops, VIS and conducting coaching for Customer Plans Experience in business management a plus Experience managing individuals in a team in a business and/or educational training settings. Able to use tools and established systems to successfully work with Wilson internal staff and Literacy Specialists and members of the Customer Experience Department Experience and proficiency learning and using online meeting software. Extensive experience teaching/coaching Wilson programs in a variety of educational settings Able to travel to support team members in the field, to attend conferences as assigned and to attend company meetings. Substantial background and experience in structured literacy and the sciences of reading and implementation.
