This unit provides services to families to address child safety issues and reduce risk to the children.
This supervisor must manage and direct their casework staff in both in home and out-of -home safety assessment and planning. Approve all Family Service Plans, guide and participate in court related matters, review all cases in the unit for regulatory compliance, review caseworker job performance and assess training needs. The supervisor must participate in supervisory certification and maintain post certification training hours of 20 annually. This employee is responsible to serve as liaison to other community agencies and systems to provide recommendations regarding service deliver gaps, linkage problems and communication deficiencies. The employee participates in many administrative tasks including: recommendations regarding personnel actions, development of agency policies and procedures, present and participate in critical case reviews, assure proper care of agency equipment (cell phones, laptops, tablets, etc.) attend weekly supervisor meetings, use and approve time cards in the Kronos system.
