POSITION: School & Community Partnerships Coordinator

This employee reports to the Manager of K-12 programs and coordinates a variety of initiatives related to PAFA’s work with school and community programs and partnerships. Primary duties will be to schedule and coordinate K-12 museum tours, outreach lessons, teacher professional development programs and art-making programs for PAFA’s school and community audiences. This employee will coordinate one of PAFA’s flagship programs - School and Community Partnerships (SCP) that provides supplemental educational programming supporting student learning and parental engagement, for predominantly bilingual audiences for various neighborhoods in Philadelphia.

This position will involve traveling to outreach locations and collaboration with staff at PAFA and community partner sites. It requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and flexibility to coordinate and deliver these programs in person, virtually or hybrid setting. The coordinator must have a desire to work with diverse audiences and engage in art appreciation and art making. They must be able to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment, problem-solve, be flexible, imaginative, and innovative.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate communication, schedules, and facilitation of K-12 programs. Process field trip requests, bus reservations, evaluation surveys and provide general administrative support for the program.
• Coordinate communication with partner schools and school districts, ensuring timely contract renewals and submission of support documents with all partners.
• Participate in development of K-12 museum tours, pre-visit materials, outreach lessons, teacher professional development programs and family art-making programs in accordance with best museum practices.
• Coordinate School and Community Partnership programs including but not limited to the following:
• Outreach classroom lessons in participating schools
• Outreach Workshops with Community Partners (afterschool programs, adult community workshops, and others)
• Parent Workshops in all participating schools and community organizations
• Professional development workshops for teachers in participating schools
• Field Trips and Art Lessons at PAFA including overseeing the logistics of transportation scheduling.
• Actively engage in professional development related to teaching art and literacy, 21st century skills, museum education, PAFA’s collection and special exhibitions, curriculum development, diversity, and inclusion, and other.
• Coordinate translation of necessary educational, promotional and evaluation materials
• Participate in planning and delivery of the End of Year Celebration at PAFA (Spring Festival)
• Maintain School and Community programs files, attendance and financial records, schedules, evaluation reports, and administrative reports for all aspects of the program.

POSITION: Atwater Kent Project Museum Educator

The Atwater Kent Project Museum Educator leads and designs custom tours and workshops combining expertise in the exhibitions’ content with excellent museum education skills. The Atwater Kent Project Museum Educator leads group tours engaging participants with special exhibitions, explaining their content and historical context and guiding visitors through the journey of discovery and interpretation. Tours are based on inquiry learning and engage visitors with the objects in the exhibitions with emphasis on the development of visual thinking strategies (VTS) and utilization of age-appropriate academic concepts in discussion.

This is a part-time, temporary position at PAFA through December 1, 2024. Individuals selected for this role must be available for exhibition specific training, and at least two weekdays (Monday-Friday, 9:30am-1pm) per work week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Learn the exhibition content to ensure high level expertise in the topics defined by the exhibitions.
• Develop exhibition-specific tours and activities focusing on visual literacy and 21st century skills.
• Facilitate gallery tours and activities in the museum, meeting the goals and standards of the museum education.
• Participate in creation of virtual gallery spotlight talks and enrichment activities as needed.
• Some programs/events may occur on evenings and weekends.

POSITION: Major Gifts Officer

PAFA seeks an energetic and experienced fundraiser with a demonstrated track record and proven ability to close major gifts ($25,000+) and direct the leadership annual giving program ($1,500 plus). Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Major Gifts Officer will have a vital role in the continued growth of philanthropic revenue for PAFA. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role will work in close collaboration across the Development Department, President & CEO, and across the organization to meet goals.

The Major Gifts Officer will support the work of senior leadership and volunteers in their major gift fundraising efforts and help drive the strategy and activity to expand the prospect pipeline. The Major Gifts Officer will actively manage an assigned portfolio of prospects using moves management strategy to qualify, engage and solicit new prospective donors, and retain and increase support from current donors. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create thoughtful tailored strategies and solicitation materials in support of annual operating goals, and restricted gifts for special initiatives including such as exhibitions, education programs, endowment funds, and capital projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• In collaboration with the Chief Development Officer, create and implement a dynamic plan for expanding the leadership and major gifts program. This plan will include strategic goals and activities aimed at increasing and diversifying philanthropic giving across all areas from individuals including planned giving;
• Actively maintain a personal portfolio of individual donors and prospects (with the capacity to give $25,000 and above), and achieve monthly goals for meaningful prospect contact including meetings, solicitations and other interactions that deepen relationships with PAFA;
• Qualify new prospects as assigned, meet monthly metrics, and actively move through the donor lifecycle, working in collaboration with Director of Development Operations to identify prospect pools and opportunities;
• Develop and implement strategies for major gift prospects, and craft tailored solicitation materials,
• With the Chief Development Officer, support the President & CEO, Board of Trustees and other key stakeholders in their fundraising work;
• Manage leadership giving programs (the Peale Circle, Brodsky Center Advisory Council and other giving areas) including the solicitation and renewal process, benefit activation, event oversight and stewardship. Serve as primary point-person for the Peale Circle, keeping donors informed and enthusiastic about the organization through clear and consistent communication;
• Collaborate with the Manager of Membership & Annual Giving and the Manager of Development Events to create pathways for increased engagement for event attendees and members, and to build the individual giving pipeline.
• Utilize Raiser’s Edge NXT to track moves management, manage relationships, event attendance, prospect information and reporting in adherence with department practices and policies;
• Keep abreast of industry best practices, trends and ethics;
• Oversee and work with colleagues to ensure proper acknowledgment and recognition for donors, as well as to ensure that reports, regular communications, and stewardship activities and recognition events are handled effectively and efficiently;

Museum Collections Assistant (Part-Time) Under the direction of the Director of Archives & Collections, the Museum Collections Assistant will perform activities that promote the long-term care of and access to the Museum?s collection.
The responsibilities of the position include overseeing the storage, preservation, handling, and responsible use of the collection, as well as managing requests for access.

Reporting to the President the Chief Education and Engagement Officer CEEO is a senior staff member and provides entrepreneurial leadership and strategic direction for planning delivering reporting and evaluating museum and community education activities workforce training programs customized skills development training continuing education and professional development responsive to market-driven educational needs that meet institutional priorities and achieve financial objectives The Chief Education and Engagement Officer is responsible for museum education public programming and credit and non-credit bearing options for creative exploration in the arts on-campus online and through summer intensives to adult and pre-college learners This position will explore diversifying the delivery models for the existing programs and... imagining different modalities for new programs ensuring that programs and learning opportunities are available to an extensive range of students and professionals Finding the correct balance of online on-site and hybrid delivery is critical in staying relevant and increasing enrollment Program examples include Continuing education courses and institutes for teachers school administrators and professionals Expand museum education opportunities to teach students with artifacts dioramas and immersive PAFA exhibitions to foster learning by young children about the historic and cultural contexts of PAFAs museum Community outreach family programs and summer camp Pre-College programming Certificate programs Lifelong learning non-credit programs and Professional development and corporate training This position will work collaboratively to integrate data collection and assessment into programs to ensure the improvement and growth of learning offerings in various modalities This position will base its work on current research and best practices and evaluate qualitative and quantitative results to determine approaches that best meet the goals of PAFA In addition to day-to-day operations this position will initiate plan and manage a diverse portfolio of grants that support institutional efforts and increase earned revenues from program participants Working collaboratively with the Development team this position will assist in cultivating donors and general fundraising activities to benefit the program area and cultivate interest among its audiences for enrollment in PAFAs education programs Essential Functions This position will inspire lead guide and direct administrative instructional and support staff to deliver valuable meaningful and personally rewarding arts education and curated museum learning experiences The CEEO will lead the analysis of market opportunities to expand educational opportunities to diverse learners in the region and beyond increase engagement in learning programs support community and workforce needs in the region and enhance the reputation and reach of PAFA More specifically the essential functions of the position include Coordinate the development implementation and administration of educational programs budgetary processes and community outreach Plan create administer and evaluate high-quality sustainable growth-oriented workforce and continuing education programs that generate net revenue Develops and implements customized training program offerings directed toward meeting the needs of the business community and regional economic development efforts by increasing the number of business and industry partners participating in contract andor customized training Identify relevant funding sources and complete applications for grants related to training and development Develop implement and monitor department budgets and grantcontract budgets Prepare annual budget request and supervises the expenditures of funds Assist in developing manuals guides and other materials necessary to efficiently and effectively administer instructional programs Develop and implement quality control systems for the effective delivery of non-credit instruction Oversee all aspects of the evaluation of professional and support staff involved in conference services youth programming and summer camps customized training occupational skills training and general interest in continuing education Provide leadership in developing and managing grants from external agencies in cooperation with the Chief Development Officer Show more details...
