• Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction

• Perform pipefitter / pipefitting tasks; braze copper pipe, including fit up and installation of 90-degree, 45-degree, tees and other fittings; remove and set up cases from truck to floor without damage; install PVC drain pipe; recognize major case types; locate and set superheat specification; receive, uncrate and properly hang blower coils
• Install orifice and thermostatic expansion valves, locate refrigeration leaks, fabricate hangers, struts, and supports, identify pipe size and fittings by sight, insulate piping and set pipe refrigeration racks
• Read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, contract documents, control drawings, service bulletins, technical procedure manuals, equipment specifications, and governmental regulations
• Maintain and manage jobsite and job box in an accurate, neat, and orderly manner
• Manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance and direction

Requirements:
• High school or 10 years’ experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years’ relevant experience
• EPA certification
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record

Payroll Processing:
• Analyze and resolve payroll issues related to tax, general accounting, regulatory requirements, benefits, time reporting, and labor agreement matters.

The Position:

As part of the Panasonic Avionics family of jobs, this position provides detailed analysis and consultation as part of the Global Total Rewards Center of Excellence in the areas of developing, implementing, and administering domestic, international, and global compensation policies and programs, including the annual merit review and bonus process. The person in this role understands the art and science of compensation, relying heavily on data and logic while considering context and contingencies, yet never wavering on compliance. This individual is a team player and has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the company – especially with the HR business partners, recruiting, and managers/supervisors. This individual serves as a change champion and participates in the development and enhancement of communication and training materials around compensation topics. The person in this role receives general instruction and guidance while using independent discretion to resolve a variety of moderate to complex issues. This is a hybrid position with at least one day a week in the office.

Compensation Surveys/Studies
• Develops and/or participates in domestic and international compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.
• Ensures global pay structures are competitive, equitable and cost effective.
• Prepares special studies and recommendations on subjects such as merit budgets, bonus plans, or other compensation-related programs.
• Performs research, analysis and evaluation of current and proposed global compensation plans.

Job Analysis
• Reviews requests for new or revised position evaluation and recommends appropriate job characteristics, including classification, salary grade assignment and bonus tier, based on published data.
• Recommends and manages processes to drive issues to closure.
• Audits jobs for content and prepares and/or reviews job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.
• Works with Employee Relations to effect any changes to individual or position classification.
• Partner with HR business partners and the HRIS team to create, modify and manage job codes, job families and job descriptions.
• Participates in and/or leads special projects as required.

Fiscal Year End Activities
• Support fiscal year end merit and bonus process
• Helps manage fiscal year end process, including training and communications to HR and manager
• Reporting & Ad hoc Compensation projects
• Partners with Legal to configure and interpret Pay Equity analyses; responsible for reporting compliance; makes and helps execute program recommendations based on results
• Prepares routine and special reports for internal clients
• Analyzes data necessary to make recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.
• Participates in departmental projects as active subject matter expert.

The salary or hourly wage range of $78,000 - $131,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

What You Will Get to Do:

You will influence new product development and become a subject matter expert to assist our Department of Transportation customers in deploying hardware to the field, operating, and maintaining RSU and OBU across key strategic regions. This role plays a critical part in helping to develop Cirrus by Panasonic and its capabilities. Automation is key for our business to efficiently scale our hardware deployment across North America.

Key Accountabilities:
• Analyze, setup, configure, operate, and maintain V2X embedded systems devices including V2X On Board Units OBUs, V2X Roadside Units RSUs, and edge computing devices.
• Develop automated configuration and testing tools for hardware and software solutions addressing the needs of the future transportation industry.
• Support the installation, deployment, and automated real time monitoring of embedded systems and devices.
• Support the design and development of field testing tools for embedded devices deployed in the field.
• Support, improve, and tune legacy codebase supporting our embedded systems.
• Establish and refine requirements for new embedded systems and devices.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience:
• Minimum Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
• Test, Automation, or Integration Engineer with 4 plus years of experience
• Linux and or Unix shell and BASH scripting experience
• Extensive experience managing remote hardware systems via SSH and WebSockets
• Experience managing assets remotely and familiarity with network infrastructures
• Good experience with the version control system Git
• Knowledge with at least one of Python, Go or Nodejs
• Familiarity with JSON file formats, structures, and processing methods
Preferred Additional Experience:
• V2X Roadside Unit, On board unit development, deployment, or customer support experience
• Use of Simple Network Management Protocol SNMP for device management
• Experience developing web based tools and embedded device support systems monitoring, management, debugging, etc.
