PE Hub’s editorial mission is to cover the fast-paced and competitive world of private equity deals in North America. PE Hub’s products include the website PEHub.com, a related website PEHubEurope.com, and newsletters read by tens of thousands of private equity professionals, investment bankers, M&A attorneys and other advisors.
We’re looking for experienced Reporter candidates who will go well beyond press releases to develop sources, negotiate exclusives, reveal trends and write compelling stories about PE deals and dealmakers.
The position is based in New York City and requires a minimum of 2 days/week in the office, with the potential for this requirement to increase over time.
Key Responsibilities
• Report and write at least three articles per week consistent with PE Hub’s mission of delivering exclusive news, analysis, and feature articles and newsletters.
• Interview sources in the investment banking and private equity community.
• Develop a network of sources and maintain relationships with PR professionals.
• Meet with sources and attend conferences.
• Identify M&A trends.
• Negotiate exclusives.
• Pitch story ideas about PE deals and dealmakers to editors.
• Write clean, fact-checked copy in keeping with PEI style.
• Participate in the editorial production processes, including tagging for SEO and selecting images.
• Participate as an active team member in meetings and projects.
• Participate in podcasts and conferences.
• Implement the highest journalistic standards and ethics.

About You
Requirements
• Excellent reporting and fact-checking skills required.
• 3+ years experience as a reporter and writer expected.
• Experience in B2B journalism and/or financial journalism preferred.
• Knowledge of private equity, financial services, M&A and related topics preferred.
• Excellent writing Communication skills
