KinderSystems is seeking a software architect with a proven track of designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise level Perl & embedded Perl applications. The candidate will be a critical part of a small team focused on the design of new features, as well as maintaining dynamic input forms and reports. The candidate will be intelligent, enthusiastic, creative and a great communicator, with the knowledge and experience to maintain embedded Perl and JavaScript applications.

What you’ll do with us

· Design and implement new features and enhancements in the product.

· Maintain and enhance input form and reports following specifications using embedded Perl and JavaScript and other tools.

· Troubleshoot and provide solutions to existing problems with applications and web services.

· Conducts debugging and testing of new or modified web services.

· Participates in daily product standups to report progress and work performed as well as reporting potential blocking issues or other problems.

· Participates in code reviews to ensure conformance to internal standards and specifications.

The ideal Perl Software Developer will have:

· 5+ years recent development experience in a senior role with Perl and JavaScript, XML & JSON

· Experience developing REST-based APIs using Perl and .php

· Experience with OAuth\OIDC

· Proficient with embedded Perl and JavaScript

· Experience with repositories including VS and GIT

· Experience working in an Agile environment with sprints

It’s a plus if you also have:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

· Experience with Microservice Architecture

· Experience with Micro ORMs

· Experience Mysql, Stored Procedures and Functions)

· Experience with best security practices (OWASP Top 10)

· Experience with software patterns

· Experience with unit test frameworks such as Nunit
