We’re looking for a data journalist to write features on compelling topics on everything gun related. This person must be able to do his/her research and investigative work, find and interview related sources, and write in a story-telling style format.
We aim to offer a deeper understanding of each feature, delivered in an engaging way. Each content piece must include numbers, statistics, and other metrics to back up each topic. Added visuals such as data tables as needed. Articles and research also need to be unbiased.
Writer must be:
Can do investigative work on independently specific topics
Can write data-journalistic articles with a storytelling flair
Must maintain apolitical standpoint in writing without biases
Must be able to collect data and analyze it
Must be willing to reach out to sources for interviews
Must be able to find and link to multiple sources
A big plus if you:
Have a passion or knowledge on firearms and related industries
Are savvy about SEO and creating interesting headlines
Creative who can come up with different topics to write about
