The Video Technologies Group in Polycom's Office of the CTO is seeking a new Senior Staff Video Software Engineer. Our team is at the cutting edge of video technology. Our charter extends from video capture, through enhancement and processing, and into video compression.

Primary job responsibilities include:
Maintain and optimize cross-platform libraries that underpin Polycom video solutions
Architect, design, and implement new video processing and compression algorithms
Work with geographically diverse teams that utilize our group's innovations and support their implementation
Collaborate with other CTO teams within Polycom to provide the best possible video experience across all products
Required Qualifications
Expert-level experience in software development in C/C++, from design to implementation and debug.
Strong background in embedded systems and optimizing code for CPU and memory bandwidth limitations
Familiarity with common development toolchains for cross platform development, including gcc, CMake, Visual Studio, git, svn
At least 5 years of experience with video and/or image processing, with an emphasis on one or more of the following:
o Video compression algorithms such as h.264
o Image processing algorithms including scaling and noise reduction
o Computer vision or related image-based machine learning algorithms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Android development in Java and JNI
Experience with CUDA, OpenGL, or other GPU-based acceleration techniques

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is between
$118,000 to $138,000
based on a full-time schedule. The salary could vary beyond this range based on your specific skills and experience. This is an incentive-based role. As a full-time team member, you are eligible to receive competitive health benefits, paid time off, flexible and remote work options, 401(k) savings plan, ESPP, and other incentives.
