As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the reason our customers come back into the store. Customers will be excited to see your friendly face because of the outstanding customer service you provide and the important relationships you develop with our regular and new customers every day! You will assist customers with all paint related needs, including placing orders, product, and color questions, and recommending additional products to make their job easier.
Retail Store Sales Associate Main Responsibilities
• Greet and assess customer needs as they come into the store and offer solutions
• Mix, tint, and match paint to customer request
• Suggest and upsell additional products, such as brushes, rollers, and tape
• Ensure store is always clean and stocked with paint and other store products
• Process orders and payments request in person, over phone, online, and email
• Will use POS system to receive payments and cash out customers
• Reporting to the Store Manager
Retail Store Sales Associate Important Qualifications
• Customer service skills with a team-oriented focus and stable job history
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver license, with no restrictions and an acceptable driving record
• Available to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime
• We ask that you can stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and carry up to 80 pounds periodically and 50 pounds regularly

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, metrology, engineering, or related scientific field
3-5 years' experience with instrument installation and maintenance

Experience with multiple data visualization and analysis methods
Previous experience with project management
Travel up to 25% of the time.

Prepare bill-of-ladings for truck shipments ensuring all required inputs are entered into the SDI system. Prepares shipping papers for UPS and FedEx shipments. Obtains proof of delivery from truck lines on outbound shipments. Schedules shipping of products from warehouse to customer by telephoning/ online scheduling with local truck lines. This includes screening outgoing shipments that can be consolidated to realize maximum economy on shipping charges. Assists loading out shipments by outside carriers or customer pick-ups.
3. Understand and adhere to all applicable DOT, OSHA, EPA, EEO, ISO, EHS and other PPG policies procedures and regulations. Furthermore, incumbent must be proficient in understanding and adhering to hazardous material clean-up procedures.
4. Participate in inventory and audits as required. Ongoing will ensure times replenishment and identification of potential material shortages.
5. Participate in QAT (Quality Action Teams) and CAT (Corrective Action Teams) as appropriate. Incumbent must participate in safety meetings, safety observations, and all other required meetings.
6. Perform minor maintenance (i.e., refill batteries with water) as required on warehouse equipment including the electric/manual pallet jack, forklift and other special equipment related to the distribution center. Furthermore, s/he performs general housekeeping practices to ensure operation of a safe and well-maintained facility.
7. Assists the Distribution Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor in the performance of selected duties or special projects as required.

Experience and Education
