We are seeking someone to offer pastoral care in our parish for 10 hours per week or 20 hours a fortnight. This is a paid position accountable to the Session through the Parish Minister.

The person we are looking for will have the following qualities:
• A well-respected member of a church
• Gifting in pastoral care and encouragement of seniors
• An ability to develop trusting, spiritual and prayerful relationships
• Understanding and a commitment to the ethics required, including confidentiality when entering people’s homes
• Eager to learn and improve their pastoral skills
• Some administrative and reporting ability
• A current driver’s licence and access to transport for work use.

A knowledge of referral procedures would be an added advantage. Orientation and some training will be available for the successful applicant.
