About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Product team. This person will lead and direct our pre- and post-sale Product Marketing initiatives in support of exciting new and existing products. This role is for a hands-on, natural communicator who can identify and develop key messaging strategies and talking points, as well as deliver them in various formats to both internal and external audiences. This individual will have a direct impact on the success of our product launches and their customer traction – which require consistency and clarity in messaging - and will position Business Wire’s products as innovative and unique in the marketplace.

What You'll Do
• Lead and direct product launches, including Go To Market and messaging strategies, and identify necessary positioning with ongoing updates as needed for new and existing products
• Perform competitive intelligence to identify functional and messaging gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Drive pricing and packaging discussions, focused on value-proposition, in close collaboration with Product Managers
• Instill the voice of the customer into our Product Marketing initiatives, and solicit and integrate customer/ VOC feedback – including surveys, forums, and direct outreach - into our messaging and positioning
• Showcase Business Wire and its products as innovative and technologically forward to stand out among competitors
• Liaise with the corporate Marketing team to determine funnel, lead-generation strategies, and tactical initiatives to drive inbound traffic and interest for our products
• Engage with Sales leaders and representatives to determine and support ongoing Sales needs, including RFP responses, collateral needs, and product-positioning/market-fit assessments
• Direct, lead, and maintain a comprehensive training program in support of our product, including videos, live demos, webinars, multimedia, and documentation
• Identify and lead a clear content development strategy in support of our products, including thought leadership and cross-channel communications across our blog, email communications, and more
• Track success metrics related to product launches and adoption, reporting out on ROI of owned efforts regularly
• Define and execute a comprehensive, repeatable communications strategy - including internal and external communications - to support product launches, awareness, and ongoing promotion
• Identify and facilitate internal and customer-facing visibility opportunities such as webinars, employee events, guest blog posts, whitepapers, and more for the Product team and its members
• Represent Business Wire products at tradeshows, conferences, and industry events
• Ensure alignment and close collaboration among peer teams (Engineering and PMO) in support of upcoming releases and tracking release milestones

What You'll Need
• 5+ years in Product Marketing with experience at both strategic and tactical levels and a bias toward action
• Self-starter and motivated individual who takes ownership and accountability
• Proven track record in achieving product growth, differentiation, and customer adoption in the marketplace
• Strong familiarity and/or experience with B2B, SaaS and web/mobile applications
• Demonstrated data-driven approach to making decisions
• Customer obsession
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Competitive and ambitious drive to see our products succeed, gain traction, and ensure strong adoption
• Inquisitive nature and eager to incorporate learnings into ongoing efforts
• Strong partner and collaborator working among internal and external resources to champion our products
• Perceptive and insightful nature, able to determine trends early on, recommend strategies, and adapt tactics as necessary to take advantage of them
• 1+ year of people management experience is a plus
• BA/BS/MS degree; MBA preferred

What We Offer
The base salary range for this position is $160K to $220K/year. Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Business Wire reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time.
