Regular Duties will include:
• Above all else, providing world class support at all times

Requirements:

We are actively seeking candidates to fill a Controller position to support PrestoSports. The successful individual will have experience in the below areas and will have preferably worked for a SaaS company:
Overall
• Maintain an accurate and timely general ledger and supporting ledgers, using the Clubessential Holdings Sage Intacct system so that Holdings can prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements that include a balance sheet, income statement (high-level and detailed by department/function), cash flow statement and related notes.
• Prepare a management's discussion and analysis document to accompany each financial statement, monthly in summary form and more detailed each quarter, outlining how the business performed compared to prior periods and budgets, cash flows and includes agreed-upon key performance indicators.
• Prepare weekly/monthly assessments of cash flow to assist with liquidity planning.
• Prepare and present bi-weekly projections information to assist the management team with assessing overall performance, comparisons to budget and project future anticipated results. Monthly summarize actual results versus the prior projections and prepare the "+" updates of projections for the remainder of the fiscal year.
Month-end close procedures:
• Working in conjunction with accounting staff, complete the monthly closing procedures, including timely sign-off, as assigned to the PrestoSports entities..
• Record revenue and deferred revenue for all contractual revenue agreements and keep deferred revenue schedules up to date. Prepare monthly revenue proof reconciliation. Move all contracted information to the Intacct Contracts module as directed by Holdings.
• Review AmEx monthly card details and review the Concur download of each expenditure to the appropriate general ledger and departmental account. Ensure individuals complete properly approved expense reports documenting all expenditures.
• Book prepaid expense entries and prepare monthly reconciliations for all prepaid expense accounts.
• Review / Calculate and accrue monthly commissions when necessary.
• Book entries for capital assets and record all capital asset additions to the Fixed Asset module of Intacct. Coordinate location and user of technology assets with IT.
• Review the recording of monthly depreciation expense for all capital assets for Intacct for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Review the entries recorded by Holdings on behalf of PrestoSports to record interest on all company debt as well as reclassing amounts between long-term and current for accuracy and reasonableness. Pay assigned bank fees, interest and principal as directed by Holdings.
• Research and resolve all intercompany account variances.
• Record accruals when applicable and update the accrual reconciliation spreadsheet.
• Prepare monthly cash flows; update projected cash flows based on results.
• Research monthly OpEx variances as needed.
• Review Intacct A/R Agings and coordinate with other team members to follow-up with past due accounts. Review Collections module communications and protocols to assist in this process.
• Analyze agings and direct the clean-up of unmatched cash receipts, analyze all credits (by category and in total) making any correcting entries, compare aging by category to prior periods and budgets/cash flow reports.
• Direct collection of past due amounts while tracking DSO's by category (initial versus recurring) and comparing to prior periods and budgets.
Commissions
• Review contracts received from the Contracts group and apply commission calculations accordingly on the current month's commission report.
• Work with sales personnel on all "one-off" contracts and commission splits between employees.
• Review Salesforce for all assets of all contracts on each commission plan and update for current month's initial payments received as well as all go-live dates.
• Review and apply all cancellations of contracts. Supervise the completion of the monthly credit memo report and post to the shared folder.
• Interact with sales personnel on any questions, concerns, comments, etc.
• Complete commission summary, obtain approvals and coordinate entering into UltiPro HR system.
Payments
• Complete daily and monthly reconciliations and summaries of payfac activities and record in general ledger.
• Insure Holdings policies, training and certifications related to PCI and other regulatory requirements are being followed by employees.
