The Senior Manager I, Privacy will be one of the lead privacy experts for Walmart’s International landscape. We need a strong contributor who can drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects, while partnering with the broader legal and compliance teams. The successful candidate will be a privacy professional who is passionate about ensuring privacy compliance and providing an exceptional customer experience.

What you'll do…
• Oversee, expand and mature our GDPR privacy and data protection policies, procedures, and best practices for Walmart including eCommerce, mobile, and digital products and services
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, legal, and marketing teams to address privacy requirements
• Lead data protection risk assessments and remediation efforts
• Drive improvement and change through expertise and influence
• Research of privacy and data protection laws, regulations, and related best practices
• Partnership in developing and presentation of privacy compliance training modules to promote data protection culture and awareness throughout the company
• Support M&A transactions, including post-close integration efforts
• Support other eCommerce Compliance initiatives as needed

What you’ll bring…
• Global Privacy Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of GDPR and other major global privacy legislative frameworks, demonstrating proficiency in navigating complex privacy regulations. Experience with building privacy compliance programs for customer-facing, eCommerce, or retail companies. CIPP / CIPT / CIPM certification (or equivalent)
• Privacy and Technology Acumen: A solid understanding of the interplay between privacy and technology issues, showcasing an ability to address privacy concerns within a technological context.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills: Establishing and nurturing cross-functional, collaborative relationships with both business and technology partners. This capability will be pivotal in effectively deploying privacy compliance programs.
• Executive-Level Engagement: Hands-on experience working with executives and key stakeholder; contributing to informed business decision-making processes by providing valuable insights and guidance in privacy matters.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively conveying privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, facilitating understanding and compliance across the organization.

What you’ll do

As Data Privacy Product Manager for the Marketplace Platform, you will be responsible for the data privacy strategy and roadmap for the multi-market platform. You will keep abreast of rapidly developing trends in global data privacy, assessing and communicating across the team on topics such as artificial intelligence, LLMs, data security, and compliance laws and regulations. You will identify, design, and implement processes that support and keep pace with product innovations while ensuring compliance and internal risk tolerance. You will also work with the organization to develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative ways and build processes for scaling flexible solutions that address risk.

As a Staff Product Manager, you should be skilled at engaging and communicating with senior executives across multiple domains, as well as working closely across product management, engineering, strategy, design and business teams.
