You will be given a departmental budget and freedom to make your own choices, trusting you to hit revenue targets... however you're most confident.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Development & Leadership: Hire, train, and lead a high-performing sales team capable of meeting and exceeding sales quotas. Foster a culture of success, motivation, and professional growth.
• Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company's goals. Lean on our existing materials (professional sales decks, white papers, etc) and proven processes to maximize team efficiency.
• Performance Management: Set ambitious sales goals and quotas, monitor IC performance, and implement strategies to ensure the team's success. Provide regular feedback and coaching to improve team dynamics and individual performance.
• Market Analysis and Adaptation: Continuously analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to adapt and optimize sales strategies.
• Budget and Resource Management: Responsible for managing the sales department's budget, including resource allocation for team expansion, training, and sales initiatives.
• Reporting and Accountability: Regularly report on sales performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management. Make data-driven decisions to drive sales growth and department efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Ability to sell. We need someone who's not afraid of rolling up their sleeves and "showing how it's done". Team members respect leaders who have real experience (not just paper-pushers). Inspire and lead by example!
• Ability to lead. Proven experience as a Sales Director or similar leadership/management role in sales, with a track record of building and managing successful sales teams. Ability to inspire and motivate them, especially when staring down ambitious goals.
• Extensive B2B experience, especially with high-dollar complex or Enterprise customers
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of sales strategies, processes, and market dynamics.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed strategic decisions.
Compensation:
• OTE is $185k, which is hopefully conservative. When building a new team there's obvious variability, depending on your abilities, hires, and ramp time.
• Base is negotiable, and you'll also rake a small percentage of all revenue brought in by your team (new business and renewals). Uncapped and recurring/compounding.
• Equity earned on a regular vesting schedule
If you are a driven individual with a passion for B2B tech sales with excellent leadership skills, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity!
