Apple is seeking a highly motivated, energetic System Architect to lead and drive system technical designs and roadmaps. The ideal candidate oversees and analyzes key system architectural and implementation trade-offs such as power, visual quality and performance in a thermally constrained system. The person will drive product level capabilities by driving cross functional teams.
Key Qualifications
• Strong background in visual signal and image processing. Mapping of algorithms to computer architecture.
• Computer architecture analysis and design experience for signal processing algorithms.
• Broad experience in human vision & perception, vision models & metrics, color science, image signal processing and analysis, display processing pipeline, radiometry and photometry, optical simulations & computational modeling, display/optics metrology
• Experience in computational image synthesis, shading, rendering and fixed function pixel pipeline models
• Experience in coding with Python, C/C , Matlab
• Experience in working with optical design SW such as Zemax for optics component analysis
• Understanding of graphics/compute APIs (DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal)
Description
As a System Architect, you will operate between visual perception, pixel physics and rendering and display compute to help define key requirements for modules and systems based on product needs. You will build simulations, experiments and user-studies, to examine options and tradeoffs across multiple next-gen technologies and product segments to establish the needs that establish the best product experience. Define requirements for display pipe in SoC and display technologies that meet system visual perception, power and user experience needs
Develop frameworks and metrics to enable setting target specs, validating display system feature function, power and performance
Lead multi-functional team efforts towards developing critical display system features and architecture solutions
Promote innovation and new technology to improve Apple's visual experiences and performance
Develop prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions and conduct detailed tradeoff analysis
Effectively communicate the advantages, disadvantages and risks to the broader team
Education & Experience
MS/PhD in optics, physics, EE, CS or computer architecture or equivalent work experience

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. This job is primarily responsible for functioning as a lead liaison between Sterile Processing and the OR. Responsibilities include performing quality audits to instrumentation accuracy, providing case cart and monitoring the availability of instruments while resolving instrumentation issues. The Sterile Processing Coordinator will function as a point of contact for other Sterile Processing Technicians, providing technical support and knowledge to junior staff. In this capacity, the Coordinator will work closely with Supervisors and Managers to implement process improvements, staffing, and training. This position will also performs data collection and special projects related to performance improvement and staff satisfaction.
Education
Required – Associate's degree or 5 years experience in sterile processing
Preferred - Study or training in the field of Health Science
Work Experience
Required – 2 year experience working in sterile processing, working as a scrub tech or surgical tech within a hospital setting
Preferred – 1 Years Of Experience Leading Teams
Certifications
Required - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
Required - OR Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician (CSPDT)
Required - OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Knowledge Skills And Abilities (KSAs)
• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to communicate with peers and subordinates to accomplish departmental objectives.
• Understanding of a clinical setting and operations of a large health care system.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.

Job Duties
• Communicates with supervisor and staff prior to any / all surgical cases to ascertain instrument and supply needs and ensures items are available; resolve issues / offer alternatives when necessary.
• Troubleshoots instrumentation needs related to tray additions and reconfigurations; communicating order needs to manager or designee.
• Authorizes and dispenses products requested by verbal, written or telephone requisitions for equipment and supplies.
• Serves as the liaison for OR/Sterile Processing Department (SPD) personnel and physicians to resolve issues that may arise before, during and after cases.
• Reviews sterilization/expiration dates and the integrity of sterile packaging.
• Reports inoperable equipment to SPD and OR.
