We are a building envelope contractor looking to add an Estimator to join our growing team! This position is responsible for cost estimates, coordinating bid documents, and qualifying bids. We are looking for a motivated individual with an eye for detail and the desire to work hard. We need an organized, adaptable person who is willing to do whatever is necessary to help the team throughout the construction process. The optimal candidate will drive hard for results and have a vision to help us as we prepare for aggressive growth in other markets. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid.
• Qualify bids by reviewing project specifications and drawings.
• Perform take-offs and estimates for project bidding using ProEst estimating software.
• Manage appropriate communication between contractors, employees, and office support staff.
• Develop relationships with key desired Contractors to ensure quality project work in the future.
• Detail oriented to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate for all assigned projects including but not limited to: Submittals/Change Orders/RFI’s

Description
• Self-motivated, organized team player with ability to work priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to participate in pursuit effort such as procurement strategy, proposals, budgets, bids, etc.
• Responsible for developing accurate and complete quantity surveys and pricing
• Perform comprehensive “bid day" analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades
• Coordinate with operations staff to ensure that General Conditions and General Requirements items are properly addressed in the estimate
• Prepare bid forms and proposal packages
• Present drafts of bids and/or proposals to senior management
• Prepare instructions to bidders, bid forms and other bid solicitation information
• Review and/or manage the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids
• Assist in oversight of the historical cost database and estimating software
• Coordinate pass-off meetings between estimating and project management
• Participate in communication with clients during final negotiation
• Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades as required; coordinate with project team to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps
• Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image
Qualifications
• 2-5 years of estimating experience working for a general contractor
• Experience estimating projects ranging from 50K to 2 million
• Working knowledge of estimating technology and tools such as ProEst and RSMeans
