About the Role

The Service Desk Engineer role is critical to ensuring that all LLH / PSI / Talogy staff are able to work reliably and efficiently, enabling them to meet their own and client deadlines.

This involves ensuring that staff have all the equipment, software, access and training they require, and that issues are resolved quickly and effectively.

The role includes procurement, configuration and maintenance of all end-user devices.

This role provides the opportunity to support and collaborate with people across all business units, and across all levels of seniority, and serves as a solid foundation for developing the skills required to progress within the infrastructure team.

You will be working as part of a global team, will engage with vendors and technology partners and have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects.

The position will report to the Manager of the Service Desk.

This particular role will have a specific focus on supporting PSI's Olathe Call Centre, and PSI meetings and A / V systems.

Role Responsibilities

The Service Desk Engineer role will provide support and fulfil responsibilities in the following areas, withprioritisation of delivery being given in the following order :

1 : Olathe Call Centre

2 : Meeting / AV Support

3 : Global PSI support

Olathe Call Centre

Responding to all helpdesk queries promptly and effectively.
• Ensuring that all issues are pursued to resolution and escalated where appropriate
• Providing a high standard of service and excellent communication to our internal clients
• Building, installing, configuring PCs, and performing software upgrades
• Maintaining and repairing of peripheral devices and other office hardware
• Diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution or escalation of PC, networking, OS, application, printing, and other issues.
• Carrying out appropriate testing processes before deploying hardware or software
• Creating and maintaining technical and problem / resolution documentation, asset inventory, etc.
• Communicate effectively with the wider Service Desk team, to ensure that the whole team are equipped with the knowledge to assist in the support of the Olathe Call Centre as needed.

Meeting / AV Support
• Take ownership of the support, operation, maintenance and repairing of audio-visual equipment (portable & conference rooms) Systems at the Olathe office
• Provide A / V support to the PSI meeting facilitator(s) at the PSI Olathe, Kansas facility before meeting start time and during meetings.
• Performing regular system checks of the audio-visual equipment and resolving equipment issues.
• Set up the PSI Olathe, Kansas conference room(s) with A / V needs such as projector, dock, keyboard, monitor, keyboard, microphones, surface hubs, spare laptops, etc.
• Perform pre-meeting audio-visual system checks to provide the best meeting experiences.
• Set up all essential electrical power sources for the meetings.
• Monitor audio and video transmission to ensure optimum results.
• Provide A / V support to the PSI meeting facilitator(s) for offsite meetings within the Kansas City metropolitan area. This will require
• Liasing with remote site administrators or IT staff to ensure that the AV facilities and equipment at the meeting site are fit for PSI requirements.
• Ensuring any required PSI equipment is transported to site and fully tested in advance of the meeting
• Travelling to the meeting location before the meeting start time for a system check
• Log and report on any AV / Meeting issues, and provide process or hardware recommendations to improve future delivery.
• Maintain a record of all upcoming meetings requiring support, and ensure that named engineering support is provided and documented
• Ensure that all AV Solutions, Processes etc. are fully documented and made available to the rest of the SDE team.
• Keep up to date with audit-visual technology developments and industry standards.

PSI Global Service Desk Support
• Work with the wider SDE team to provide additional support to PSI globally as time and priorities permit
• Take ownership of PSI Incidents and Service Requests, and manage to resolution within documented SLA's
• Review and follow documented processes for all Service Desk processes
• Working with appropriate departments to implement large-scale solutions across an international organization.
• Contributing to process and service improvement initiative
• Diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution or escalation of PC, networking, OS, application, printing, and other issues.
• Performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Able to work Monday through Friday (8 AM to 5 PM) on premise at the Olathe, Kansas office
• Some activities may require early morning, late evening or weekend work to be undertaken in support of the business
• Strong experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10+ systems
• Good skills with the latest Microsoft Office Suites
• Working knowledge of Ivanti Helpdesk or equivalent Helpdesk ticketing systems
• Knowledge of essential network operation, including Wireless Networking, Ethernet, and TCP / IP fundamentals
• Working knowledge of AV systems and hardware
• Experience of working with global communications platforms (Teams, Webex etc)
• Understanding of print functions and experience troubleshooting printing issues
• Working knowledge of Epson, InFocus, or equivalent portable projectors
• Experience in assisting remote users across multiple time zones
• Knowledge of VOIP phone systems
• Excellent diagnostic ability
• Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with staff and clients
• Previous experience in a support / helpdesk environment
• Perform consistently as a good team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask, manage tasks and time effectively, and stay well organized in a fast-paced environment, following projects from beginning to end and providing updates.
• The job may require occasional travel to remote sites, domestic and international.
• Must obtain various US Federal and UK security clearances.
