IS Project Manager
The IS Project Manager (Senior Level) will lead, engage, and partner with the RAND groups throughout the organization on multiple initiatives of high complexity, requiring integration across several functional areas and/or organizations. The Project Manager will acquire in-depth knowledge of RAND’s business to continually identify ways to improve RAND’s effectiveness and efficiency.
The Project Manager is responsible for infrastructure and security related initiatives, direct subject matter experts, and individual technical contributors. The Project Manager should have hands-on experience developing and implementing solutions in a business environment. The Project Manager will partner effectively with the business staff and researchers within RAND.
The Project Manager will lead & engage across various initiative aspects including product selection, testing, configuration, deployment, and support. The Project Manager will be the principal author of many deliverables including business case, requirements, and test plans, and will participate and sometimes lead the definition of technical architectures. The Project Manager will also work with team members to help prepare costing, capital requests, metric capture and reporting, and demonstration of value secured. The Project Manager position will be involved in all aspects of infrastructure remediation and pro-active initiatives including:

IS Project Manager
The IS Project Manager (Senior Level) will lead, engage, and partner with the RAND groups throughout the organization on multiple initiatives of high complexity, requiring integration across several functional areas and/or organizations. Responsibilities...
• Answer phone calls, greet visitors, monitor entrance, and check in visitors through security visitor application
• Issue visitor badges per Security instruction
• Direct calls and provide information to clients, RAND staff, and other visitors or callers
• Notify employees when guests arrive
• Serve as main point of contact for the Facilities service requests and enter and update work orders
• Use Excel to create and analyze Facilities metrics as requested
• Interact with vendors and couriers and direct accordingly
• Manage commuter incentives, including tracking, onboarding and offboarding employees, and troubleshooting issues
• Assist with office-wide communication
• Assist with employee and visitor reservations of workspace and conference rooms

They also have the ability to summarize complex technical information and communicate it, verbally or in writing, to a variety of audiences and clients. Additionally, they are proficient in one or more analytic software packages (e.g., R, Mplus, SAS, Stata). Quantitative psychologists at RAND are in high demand and as such collaborate with several research teams. These collaborations often result in leading larger analytic teams and, in many cases, facilitate the development of individual programs of research.
