What is the opportunity?

The Senior Risk Analyst position acts as a key risk analyst and advisor to Telecommunication & Network Services (TNS) in RBC Tech Infrastructure with respect to network, technology, operational, and organizational risk. • Provides expert advisory on RBC’s IT Risk framework, policies, standards, and guidelines to a complex level and contributes to their development where appropriate.

• Drives the development and ongoing maintenance of proactive and effective controls in the Telecommunication & Network Services (TNS) environment to mitigate risks to an acceptable level, ensuring solutions are designed to meet the requirements of the sponsoring business unit
• Support risk areas that play a first-line role in relation to the management of specific Regulatory Compliance Risk to maintain RCM Program(s) related to their area(s) of oversight
• Development of complex quantitative and analytical risk metrics and reports to manage, measure, and monitor global risk exposures.
• Lead analysis and documentation of information to support TNS operational drivers & metrics. Provides detailed investigation and recommendations for risk and control initiatives.
• Collaborate and contribute to cross-functional enterprise initiatives and provides consulting services to business partners on new initiatives of varying complexity

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
• BA or equivalent with a focus in computer science, engineering, business, or related field, professional designation associated with risk management is preferred
• Five or more years’ experience in all the broad range of core services in Information Security/Risk Management in a Technology Operations environment
• Wide-ranging technical knowledge of RBC’s hardware and software systems, in order to be able to make Risk Management decisions in the context
• Ability to develop a blend of technical, people, and process risk-mitigating controls using an RBC-approved and industry-recognized framework to an expert and complex level
• In partnership with senior leaders, ability to articulate controls to internal and external auditors, including regulators, on a wide range of areas, often outside of the TI Risk Management framework.
• Understanding of Network Services, technology, and platforms.

What will you do?
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients by assisting them and answering account questions.

Design, develop, and implement architecture of deliverable quantitative software tools to support trading and risk management activities.
