We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who is outcome, value driven, and passionate about building a mature state of the art data platform leveraging modern cloud-base technology stack efficiently.
As the Lead of Data Engineering, you will have an unique opportunity to build the foundation, influence SaaS tool direction, and also exercise design and development skill building the scalable data products and platform capabilities.

Collaborate with product management and product engineering, creating dimensional data models and building data pipeline

What you'll bring
3+ years experience in combination in the technical lead capacity for the team of 6+ engineers
Expert in dimensional modeling, SQL, and technique on end-to-end data pipeline optimization
Expect in transactional data modeling as well as data and event instrumentation and collection
8+ years of hands-on, development experience in the data engineering with preferred eCommerce experience
3+ years hands-on development experience in cloud-based data infrastructure system and tools including Google Cloud System, snowflake, dbt, airflow, and fivetrans
5+ years development experience in Python
Preferred experience in looker architecture and development experience

POSITION OVERVIEW
Position serves as the Logistics Recharge Services Analyst within Logistics -a unit of Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) housed within Business and Financial Services (BFS). The Logistics Recharge Services Analyst is responsible for Logistics product and program development by analyzing program metrics and evaluating current and potential business partnerships. DISASTER SERVICE WORKERS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training: A minimum of a high school diploma. Must obtain a State of California Department of Public Health Grade D-1 Certification within 1 year of hire.
Experience: One year of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
License: Valid California Class “C” Driver’s License and ability to drive OCWD vehicles on public roadways.

Physical: Positions in this class typically require kneeling, crouching, walking, pulling, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Working outdoors in rivers, stream channels, and basins during windy, rainy, hot, or cold climatic conditions. Incumbents require sufficient physical ability to work in field and office settings; hike up steep hills, wade in chest-deep water, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; operate equipment including use of hydraulic operators to turn valves, stream flow measuring equipment, a computer keyboard; push, pull, lift, and/or carry light amounts of weight; verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment. Incumbents may be subjected to inadequate lighting.

DISASTER SERVICE WORKERS
All Orange County Water District employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employees are required to complete all related training as assigned and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
SCHEDULE:
9/80, with alternating Fridays off, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Will be required to work on-call standby rotation shift with the ability to be onsite within one hour of being called back.
Hourly (Non-Exempt) Range: $38.29-$48.87
Emergency standby compensation: ¾ hour per standby shift
Callback compensation: two hours callback overtime pay, if called.
