The Role

The American Red Cross is seeking an Events Coordinator who will be responsible for the success of Chapter fundraising events. You will plan, coordinate and implement events in collaboration with staff and volunteer leadership. Our events are designed to raise funds for and promote community awareness of Red Cross services. You will also develop and execute plans to identify, cultivate, solicit and recognize event underwriters/sponsors and other event participants and provision of staff support for relevant committees.

Responsibilities

• Event planning project development: Creates and collaborates with other development staff on special events project plans & participates in budget development. Monitors event outcomes including revenue and expenses and results in order to increase special event program growth. • Events Material Development: Collaborates with Communications and Marketing to develop materials related to events including media releases and photo sessions. Also handles interviews.

The salary range for this position is $62,300.00-$74,760.00.

What You’ll Do

Under limited supervision, collect and evaluate data from organizational units and prepare recommendations for deliverables including financial plans and/or financial analysis. May provide business leaders with financial forecasts to support short and long - term decision making. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

The American Red Cross (ARC) spends ~$2 billion annually on goods and services. Of this amount, $1.2 billion is spent on goods and services that should be strategically sourced (sourceable), including regulated and non-regulated materials, supplies, facilities and equipment maintenance, consulting, and IT hardware and software. Key Objectives for the Category Manager, IT – Biomedical Technology
• Provide Supply Management and IT procurement support to clients assigned by the Director and Senior Director, operating independently and with a high level of expertise.

Job Description/Qualifications Summary

The Category Manager, IT – Biomedical Technology has both IT and Supply Management (SM) experience with skills required to find, engage, compete, and contract with service providers in the US and across the globe to meet a variety of demands. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in supply management or IT business office roles, demonstrating expertise, the ability to manage IT suppliers, business clients, and activities independently.

Responsibilities

The Category Manager, IT – Biomedical Services will have a variety of accountabilities and responsibilities, some of which will be achieved through influence. Examples include:
• Work with the Director of IT Strategic Procurement to ensure demands and priorities are synchronized with expectations of IT and Supply Management leadership.
• Know and participate in Supply Management processes, to include the Stakeholder Advisory Board, Risk Council, P&L Improvement, and Supplier Diversity.
• Develop and implement category strategies to manage the assigned portfolio, control costs, and ensure continuity of supply.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines such as Finance, Supply Management, Economics, Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 5+ years of professional experience, to include Supply Management, Procurement or IT Business Office roles responsible for IT supplier or category management.
• Information Technology experience overseeing IT services and suppliers.
• Strong working knowledge of the IT marketplace, terminology and industry norms.
• Demonstrable experience with application development and managed services agreements and statements of work.
• Adept negotiation skills in pay for performance and shared risk allocation in agreements.

Partner with Chief Development Officer to drive a strong revenue-oriented culture based on market-driven targets in order to strengthen and grow the donor base and the development program to meet assigned financial target.

You will lead staff and leadership volunteers in planning, managing and implementing fundraising development strategies for assigned segment(s) of giving. You will lead staff who cultivate individual and foundation donors and sponsors to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• This is a hybrid work position where you will work from home, meet with donors as needed and attend meetings in the office as directed.

Responsibilities
• Develop and execute annual and multi-year fundraising strategies for the region for Individual and Foundation donor segment. Lead a strategy to identify, cultivate, and engage donor segment to grow their support for the American Red Cross in partnership with Regional Philanthropy Officer partners. Grow annual revenue in the short-term, while diversifying the donor base to achieve long–term sustainability.
• Personally manage a portfolio of high-level donors and prospects within assigned segment to achieve annual revenue target, including both renewable gifts and new incremental revenue. Revenue target may increase due to major domestic disasters. Develop and implement strategies for donor discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Support the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of the Greater Chicago Board of Directors, for activities including: annual board campaign, board committees, board member giving, board engagement and volunteer activities, quarterly board meetings and more.
• Lead the region’s Tiffany Circle, a giving circle of 85+ women that generously give $10,000 or more annually to the American Red Cross mission, for activities including: annual meeting, quarterly newsletters, in-person and virtual member engagement experiences, membership growth, and member recognition.
• Serve as primary staff liaison for major donors within assigned segment. Conduct regular joint visits with relationship managers and donors when those relationships are managed by members of your team.
• Collaborate with national headquarters development team members to maximize fundraising opportunities and implement policies and procedures to ensure the success of the region's fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with Gift Planning team to strategically grow planned giving revenue across major donor managed accounts for individuals and families. What We Need From You
• Education: Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of sales/fundraising experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Experience with increasing philanthropic revenue from diverse constituencies, developing and implementing broad-based fundraising programs, and knowledge of “best practices” in development. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
• Management Experience: 5 years of management experience.
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Knowledge of office systems: MS Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com). The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces helps members of the military, veterans and their families prepare for, cope with and respond to the challenges of military service worldwide – for life. Our Hero Care Network provides connection to emergency communication and critical community services; care and comfort in military and veteran health care facilities; and family resiliency training.

We are currently seeking a Service to the Armed Forces & International Services Regional Program Manager (UT & NV) to work in Las Vegas, NV. This position will work 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, and some weekends and evenings will be required during times of business need. Travel will also be involved up to 40% of the time.

Manage and administer the delivery of American Red Cross services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans, and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures. Support the delivery of International Services programs and services. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Responsibilities

1: Support building and cultivating external relationships with community leaders, military leaders, government and civic organizations and other charitable agencies. Outreach includes command meetings, education briefings, presentations or information sessions with community service organizations, local schools, etc.

2: Manage a volunteer program to meet the workforce model and to enable delivery of programs and services. Assist with developing recruitment plans and provide supervision of volunteer staff. Helps ensure volunteer staff ratio reflects the diversity of the population being served.

3: Work with internal partners to ensure the efficient and consistent delivery of programs and services to all clients in their area, including follow up and referrals.

4: Track and provide reports related to organization metrics.

5: Manage expenditures to ensure programs are operating within budget. Monitor and report on the outcomes and results of programs and services to ensure organizational accountability and make recommendations for continuous improvement to ensure metrics are consistently met.

Relationship Management and Community Outreach: Serves as the “face” of the Red Cross at assigned location.
• Builds strong relationships with executive-level military leadership, key organizations and community leaders.
• Cultivates relationships and partnerships with external constituents in the local community, including government organizations, corporate partners, civic organizations and other community charitable and nonprofit agencies with the purpose of furthering the mission of the Red Cross. Outreach includes command meetings, education briefings, presentations or information sessions
• Builds community presence through enhancing marketing opportunities with local Armed Forces Network, utilization of social media platforms, and leveraging local base advertising opportunities to spread the Red Cross Mission and service.

Volunteer Management: Manages a volunteer workforce planning and engagement program to enable delivery of all Red Cross programs and services within their jurisdiction.
• Develops and implements a local volunteer needs assessment and Volunteer Program Plan using the Volunteer Services established process.
• Recruits and trains leadership volunteers to support placement and supervision of staff and programs in the delivery of SAF and IS U.S. programs and services.

Effectively utilize the Volunteer Connection Platform to manage, document, train, recognize and communicate with volunteers within the local footprint.

Service Delivery Management: Ensures the consistent delivery of SAF and IS U.S. services to all clients in their area.
• Provides supervision of both paid and volunteer Service Delivery staff.
• Manages services to military and VA hospitals through rehabilitation programs, material assistance, resiliency training and morale items and support.
• Ensures community outreach, to include command meetings and education briefings, presentations, or workshops; enabling a strong military community outreach program and implementation of special events and projects in support of SAF and IS U.S. initiatives.
• Manages support services to military members, veterans, and their families to include casework family follow-up information and referrals; IHL, YAC, RFL, and other related services.
• Provides support for the emergency communications center with local information, as appropriate.
• Develops outreach strategies aimed at promoting International Services U.S. programs to the community and ensuring the local community is aware of what programs and services are available.
• Supports operations of Red Cross Development, Training Services, Disaster Preparedness and Response, and Red Cross Blood Services as requested.

Financial, Personnel, And Reporting Management
• Develops and manages budgets and expenditures to ensure programs are operating within budget to
• Provides supervision of both paid and volunteer staff and management of all related human resources functions including recruitment, hiring, compensation, training, utilization, evaluation, and recognition within the region in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures.

Scope: Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in specific area. Ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects; adapts precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Skills & Abilities: Requires strong computer skills. Public speaking skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing are required. Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in an individual or team environment. The ability to balance multiple priorities is essential. Familiarity with military culture, regulations and protocol is strongly desired. Experience with American Red Cross programs and services are desired. Ability to work on a team.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Analyst, Process Improvement leads the DCS program for performance assessment, including metrics, measurement and performance evaluation. This position operates in support of all pillar and core processes of Disaster Cycle Service (DCS).

Drivers for this work include: Numbers of processes or events evaluated, number of metrics, number and requirements of grant-funded programs, and performance assessment capability and resources available in internal teams and the field.

This position works closely with Disaster Cycle Services business process owners, program managers, and the Humanitarian Services Operations team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated performance assessment activities.

Responsibilities
• Facilitates the development of metrics and measures for DCS processes and programs and the collection and analysis of performance data. Supports interpretation of measurement tools.
• Leads the design and development of data collection and data analysis processes to allow accurate real-time monitoring and improvement of DCS programs and processes.
• Creates and supports performance and evaluation tools and systems for accurate, organized and complete metrics and performance information.
• Supports DCS continuous improvement programs and processes by providing data collection, advanced statistical and qualitative analysis and reporting.
• Produces and disseminates business intelligence. Synthesizes, prepares and communicates data, evaluations and reports.
• Develops and supports volunteers who are the primary Red Cross workforce. Engages volunteers as equal team members with specific responsibilities as part of their work
• Supports large-scale relief operations activities when required.

Qualifications

What We Need From You:

Education: Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in public administration, public policy, data science or similar desired. Master’s degree preferred. Training in advanced quantitative analysis preferred.

Experience: 7-10 years’ experience leading large-scale service programs. Track record of leadership with proven results in non-profit, government or for-profit organizations. Experience in performance assessment and program evaluation required

Power BI Experience Required.

Skills and Abilities:
• Leading program evaluation, research and/or progress monitoring projects that yield organizational changes.
• Statistical modeling and high-level research tools.
• Fluency with databases and data-gathering instruments (e.g., surveys, observational rubrics, advanced information systems).
• Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
• Experience with report writing and project management.
• Ability for working well with volunteers, field staff, and executive management.
• Ability to develop programs and processes that will be implemented across a large department network
• Proven track record of collaboration, facilitation, and leadership.
• Individual must be analytical, customer oriented, organized, and able to operate with an orientation toward strategic visioning.
