Responsibilities
• Collaborate with category, channel, brand, and innovation teams across Fortune Brands Innovations to assess research and insights needs; execute and deliver analytic solutions that yield relevant, actionable, and timely insights.
• Manage the tracking and reporting of key metrics and insights to the organization, including economic trends, brand share & awareness, net promoter score, marketing ROI, etc.
• Synthesize Voice of Customer (VOC) and other research data into actionable insights that help internal teams evaluate product opportunities and go-to-market strategies across all channels, including direct to consumer sales.
• Present and provide written summaries of analytic findings and insights to internal customers. Participate in cross-functional teams that require analytic support as needed.
• Assist in the management of analytic research vendors and data providers.
• Schedule and ensure quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of results.
• Manage cross-functional project communications as needed.
• Support cross-functional teams in measuring both market share and market size; recommend business actions based on findings.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing/Analytical emphasis) Social Sciences or related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of market research or analytics experience; consumer durables and/or packaged goods is preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office tools, IBM SPSS, R, Tableau, Tableau Prep and Rapid Miner
• Experience with the analysis of survey research data
• Experienced in meeting the expectations and needs of internal and external customers
• Skilled in a range of analytic methods to support an array of marketing and business needs, including: frequency and crosstab analysis, clustering and factor analysis, regression analysis and modeling, segmentation, etc.
• Working knowledge of quantitative research methods
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize technical and influencing skills with internal stakeholders, as well as foster understanding of business strategy for teams.
• Capable of managing a variety of analytic initiatives simultaneously
• Possess clear written and presentation skills with ability to confidently present insights to business stakeholders.
• Ability to approach new projects and datasets with enthusiasm and curiosity
• Comfortable exploring new ideas and practices in areas that are unfamiliar or ambiguous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to tell stories that persuasively deliver key insights

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $62,400 - $89,210.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
eCommerce Analytics and Reporting

This leader leads and develops an analytics engine responsible for primarily driving actionable insights for Galls' eCommerce business and some non-eCom direct business channels for consumers and businesses. Responsibilities include web and site merchandising analytics (including page effectiveness, journey optimization, product and content placement optimization, site friction points, traffic, and conversion metrics, etc.), dynamic pricing, and promotional optimization, as well as detailed business metrics and KPI reporting, at daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual frequencies
• Create and execute the strategic roadmap for advancing the eCommerce analytics function by building and optimizing customer acquisition, expansion, and retention programs, campaigns, and eCommerce sales; manage digital dashboards and reporting; and guide the organization in advancing our data and analytic capabilities in a dynamically evolving digital landscape
• Oversee analyses across paid media (SEM), organic search (SEO), organic and paid social, digital purchase journeys, loyalty marketing, lead nurture campaigns, and reputation management
• Lead analyses of the digital ecosystem, including digital purchase experience, campaign analysis, lead nurture, and conversion optimization across the various website properties, landing pages, and campaigns.
• Architect and lead analytics strategy and roadmap to advance this function, including migration to GA4 and a "cookieless" world; the evolution of analytic infrastructure; and development of core analytical competencies (e.g., deep dive analyses, advance attribution, etc.)
• Oversee data analyses to extract actional insights to accelerate sales growth and profitability of several e-commerce channels across the Galls family of companies
• Own customer segmentation and manage the value segmentation process throughout the year by advising eCommerce and marketing teams on specific campaign opportunities to drive faster sales and profits.
• Create a test-and-learn culture to unlock value and drive continuous improvement within the customer experience
• Communicate the insights and recommendations succinctly to senior leadership with a focus on the what as opposed to the how and gain consensus to drive desired change.

Market Research

This leader directs all market research activities for the organization to meet the business growth objectives. This leader will work closely with the SVP of Marketing and eCommerce to define priorities for external market research, develop plans and execute using internal and external resources using industry best practices.
• Develop and implement a market research program to meet the organization's research needs efficiently and cost-effectively. This includes identifying and conducting primary research and analyzing secondary and syndicated research
• Leverage acquired data through analyses to inform decision-making and strategy development in the organization
• Develop market performance measures that monitor economic impact in the retail industry impacting Galls and its operating companies
• Produce statistical and analytical reports and forecasts on research data for use by internal and external stakeholders
• Provide cooperative leadership and insights generated from the market research for the Galls; strategic planning and goal-setting processes
• Develop and manage the annual market research budget, including management of market research agencies, consultants, tools, and training. Evaluates the cost-effectiveness of research tools

Leadership and Collaboration

• Effectively lead external agencies and contractors to deliver against the business targets on time and under budget

WHAT YOU BRING:
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field required (e.g., economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or business); Master's Degree in a data/analytic field or business preferred
• 10+ years of experience in eCommerce analytics with excellent web/digital marketing analytics and reporting proficiency
• The ideal candidate must be highly analytical, intellectually curious, and possess the skills and acumen to translate data into actionable insights that deliver measurable results. This leader will have C-suite visibility and manage key agency/partner relationships
• Proven experience with media modeling, segmentation, attribution methodologies, funnel metrics, statistical analysis, SQL, and Tableau
• Capable of extracting data from a variety of relational databases, manipulating, and exporting using quantitative, statistical, and visualization tools
• Working knowledge of API connections to integrate third-party tools with Google Analytics and CRM platforms is a plus. Understanding of UTM codes and their appropriate use for campaign tracking
• Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel to create complex reporting models from concept to completion (e.g., pivot tables, charts, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.)
• Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to manage a portfolio of marketing analytic dashboards and projects across brands and digital channels
• Strong presentation skills, including verbal presentation and formal written documents using PowerPoint and Word

Knowledge/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Social Science (psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, etc.)

1-3 years of experience in data collection and analysis preferred

Experience in survey design, questionnaire development, statistics/data science preferred

Awareness of and willingness to develop a solid understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics highly preferred

Experience with SPSS, R, Python, or other statistical languages or software package(s) preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)

JOB SUMMARY

Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process. Monitor Sales team members' use of the Delphi tool to make sure it is used efficiently and effectively and that they comply with all related procedures. Inform Sales team members about compliance issues and updates related to the Delphi system (e.g., short cuts). Prepare reports of market research findings using Delphi, including graphic illustration and text description of findings. Prepare reports (e.g., production, business opportunity, period end, sales activity) as requested by Sales managers. Create, maintain and/or update databases, spreadsheets, and electronic filing systems related to Sales and Marketing activities (e.g., mailing lists, competition, tours). Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, sending outgoing faxes, delivering incoming faxes, copying, opening or distributing mail).

Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
