Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Tour Sales Specialist to support our Customer Experience team in the implementation of the Rick Steves’ Europe tour program. This administrative and customer service job requires managing a myriad of tour-related tasks, including managing tour bookings and responding to customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position with full benefits. While this position is typically Monday-Friday, some rotating Saturday shifts will be required.
Responsibilities:
• Answer tour customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Provide insights and information to ensure our customers are well informed, inspired, and equipped to travel
• Process tour bookings, change requests, and cancellations per department policies and keep accurate notes and records in Sales Force
• Maintain Tour Member accounts until the tour departs, including obtaining required documents, obtaining passport details, processing tour payments, creating directions to the first hotel for each tour, and updating customers about any itinerary changes
• Archive departed tour document hard copies
• Review and maintain waitlists and follow department policies on filling tours from waitlists
• Assist with promotional events as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of customer service, order management, and/or administrative experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of RSE’s travel philosophy, tour itineraries, guidebooks, and other materials
• Significant travel experience, ideally in Europe using Rick Steves’ guidebooks
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office apps
• Proficient in Word (including track changes), Excel, Acrobat, Teams, and SharePoint
