ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Performs manual work within an assigned department, which may involve grounds maintenance, parks maintenance, street maintenance, sanitation services, facility maintenance, or other projects within the assigned department; assists equipment operators, skilled-trade employees, or other workers as needed.

• Performs various tasks involving maintenance of parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities: cleans and maintains athletic fields, bleachers, and related facilities; drags ball fields; applies lines and markings to athletic fields; maintains courts, playgrounds, trails, and associated equipment.
• Performs various tasks involving street, storm-water drainage, and/or right-of-way maintenance projects: prepares road surfaces for asphalt application; lays and smooths asphalt; patches/repairs utility cuts and potholes in road surfaces; lays bricks and concrete block; lays or builds concrete forms for catch-basins, sidewalks and curbing; pours concrete; sweeps street surfaces; spreads gravel; clears obstructions and removes debris from storm-water drains, ditches, and catch-basins; constructs asphalt driveway tie-ins; and repairs / installs guardrails.
• Performs various tasks associated with set-up and clean-up of work-sites and facilities: gathers equipment, tools, supplies, and materials needed to conduct work activities; empties trash containers and dumpsters; picks up or removes debris such as tree limbs, brush, pine straw, leaves, grass/yard clippings, and dead animals; rakes, sweeps, shovels, and cleans ground around work areas and picks up remaining materials; and cleans and returns equipment and materials to their proper location
• Performs various tasks involving building maintenance projects: cleans buildings, sheds, restrooms, or other facilities; restocks supplies; paints interior/exterior surfaces and equipment; replaces batteries, light bulbs, and ballasts; replaces or performs minor repairs on building fixtures, fences, and playground or recreation equipment; assembles furniture or equipment; pressure-washes building and grounds surfaces; lifts/moves equipment and heavy materials; cleans, dusts, vacuums, mops, buffs, & polishes floors, walls, windows, fixtures, and other surfaces; and assists with setup/breakdown for special events and activities.
• Operates a variety of light equipment, machinery, and power / hand tools associated with department projects, including (but not limited to), a small tractor, commercial mower, edger, trimmer, chipper, chain saw, air compressor, concrete saw, leaf blower, tiller, sod cutter, asphalt loop, paint/marking machine, pick axe, sledgehammer, pitchfork, rake, post hole digger, shovel, broom, hand tools, City issued cellular phone, or two-way radio.
• Performs general cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep equipment and tools in operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking/replacing fluids, refueling vehicles, performing minor equipment repairs, greasing equipment, sharpening blades, changing tires, replacing parts, washing/cleaning equipment, or cleaning shop or work areas; monitors equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety; reports faulty equipment and initiates requests for new or replacement materials as required.
• Follows established safety procedures, utilizes safety equipment, and monitors work environment to ensure safety of employees and other individuals; sets-up work zones; flags and directs traffic around work-site; assists truck drivers, equipment operators, or other workers in monitoring traffic conditions surrounding trucks/equipment to identify obstructions, pedestrians, or unsafe traffic conditions; reports any incidents, accidents, problems, or unusual situations.
• Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, time cards, daily work sheets, or other documents.
• Receives various forms, reports, correspondence, schedules, activity calendars, event sheets, diagrams, blueprints, policies, procedures, regulations, manuals, reference materials, or other documentation; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.
• Communicates with supervisor, other departments, employees, inmate workers, community service workers, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of experience in construction, grounds maintenance, or other manual tasks preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Licenses or Certifications:
• Possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Additional certifications may be required based on assignment.

PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Enters and maintains data in computer aided dispatch system (CAD); enters and retrieves technical information from a computer in order to perform research, update records, or respond to requests for information.

• Information Center (NCIC) network, such as drivers license and automobile tag information; enters stolen, or removes found, vehicles and weapons in system; enters information on missing or found persons; confirms warrants for other jurisdictions through NCIC and GCIC.
• Assists callers in high stress situations, such as domestic violence, suicide, hostage calls, and when a loved one dies; gives CPR instructions to callers for patients who are in cardiac arrests; gives medical pre-arrival instruction to patients who are in need of medical assistance; communicates with caller on phone while logging radio traffic.

Environmental / Public Works
• Drives pick-ups and single-axle trucks with limited volume and/or weight capacities in order to collect, transport and haul materials such as brush, tools, and trash: makes frequent stops at appropriate intervals to position truck near refuse; follows a prescribed route and maintains the pace of collection in order to ensure timely completion of the route; maneuvers vehicle in and around traffic and work-sites, obeying all traffic laws and safety guidelines; positions vehicle to allow for the most efficient and effective loading and unloading of materials; secures all doors, gates, and fasteners to prevent spillage or loss of load; operates dumping mechanism to dump materials at appropriate locations; and collects missed garbage pickups as needed.
• Picks up large bulk/metal items, including refrigerators, stoves, grills, etc., and missed garbage.
• Extracts refrigerant from refrigerators (Recycling Center).
• Trains community service workers (Recycling Center).
• Assists with flooding situations during inclement weather (Stormwater Division).

Recreation & Parks
• Performs various tasks involving maintenance of parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities; helps maintain, repair or replace various infrastructure.
• Performs various tasks involving building maintenance projects: cleans buildings, sheds, restrooms, or other facilities; restocks supplies; paints interior/exterior surfaces and equipment; replaces batteries, light bulbs, and ballasts; replaces or performs minor repairs on building fixtures, fences, and playground or recreation equipment; assembles furniture or equipment; pressure-washes building and grounds surfaces; lifts/moves equipment and heavy materials; cleans, dusts, vacuums, mops, buffs, and polishes floors, walls, windows, fixtures, and other surfaces; and assists with setup/breakdown for special events and activities.

JOB SUMMARY

Direct supervision of campers for ages 5-12. Counselors are responsible for direct supervision of children, implementing activities planned by director and/or program supervisors, teaching skills with a base in cheerleading such as: movements, tumbling, chants, dance, etc. Must be able to take directions, problem solve, be creative in multiple aspects (i.e. art/crafts, indoor games and cheerleading). Must be able to work well with children and adults. Camp counselor is responsible for the safety of all campers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Be creative and collaborative and work well as a member of a team.
• Take direction from supervisors and camp directors.
• Able to establish a tone of high energy for camp/campers. Be able to be creative in regards to researching new cheer/dance routines, ideas and activities.
• Communicate with and between supervisors and participants in regards to campers.
• Show professionalism, energy, responsibility, dependability, and have the ability to multi-task.
• Set up needed materials, equipment, and other items for programs/activities.
• Must be able to commit to 4 weeks of Cheerleading Camp out of the 10-week summer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
• Prior childcare experience preferred.
• Prior cheerleading or gymnastics experience required.

Driver License preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Candidates should be in good physical condition as activities with campers are light to moderately physical. Mandatory orientation is required.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for teaching age appropriate voice instruction for

ages 7 and up and/or piano/guitar/ukulele to ages 5 and up. Must present lesson plans and be

involved with Music Recital at end of quarter in April./May Communicates with

supervisor, students and parents. Keeps excellent attendance records, notates

absences and makeup lessons. Will be in charge of their own schedule.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Communicates closely with Supervisor in regards to student lesson day, time, attendance, issues or concerns regarding student or parents, Cc's supervisor on all communication via email with parents. Coordinates Music Recital day/time. Turns in attendance sheets weekly for supervisor to inspect. Notates all makeup lesson dates in regards to absences if student is owed a makeup lesson.
• Introduces self to prospective parents via email inquiring about lessons
• Responds to emails inquiring about lesson days, times and secures slot for student
• Communicates to parents and information about lesson plan, homework, concerns and updates on student's progress
• Instructs students appropriately according to age and level
• Provides students with supplies, sheet music or directs parents where to get materials from
• Starts and ends lessons on time
• Keeps music room orderly, lets supervisor know of any supplies needed
• Takes charge and directs Music Recital

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
• College degree in area of music being taught preferred or 2 years instructing experience or professional performance

Licenses or Certifications:
• Driver License preferred

Special Requirements: Must pass the State of Georgia criminal background check.

Teaching experience of voice & piano for children & adults required with knowledge

of correct techniques for all genres of music. Must be responsible, prepared and

punctual.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and capability of learning to work with Supervisor and other staff in regards to City of Roswell policies and procedures. High degree of human relations skills. Ability to effectively communicate and manage information to peers, staff and volunteers. Ability to motivate, coach, and lead participants in the field of music education.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible to coach small group classes, individual tennis and/or pickleball lessons and summer tennis camps on City of Roswell tennis courts to youth, adult, and team players. Employees must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the instructional needs of the Department. Employees will work with the Roswell Racquet Sports Supervisor and the Roswell Community Tennis Association on their mission, goals, and events to grow tennis in the Roswell Community. Employee must exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the public.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Operate lighting and equipment doors using keys, codes, or breakers.
• Set up needed materials, equipment, and other items for programs/activities.
• Complete, understand and interpret various schedules, calendars, attendance records, incident/accident reports and other documents.
• Serves as liaison between the City of Roswell staff and the public for the distribution and receipt of routine information; Conveys information to appropriate department personnel.
• Assist is notifying participants of scheduled programs or changes in programs.
• Greets visitors, directs visitors to appropriate locations, records/relays messages and responds to requests for service/assistance.
• Performs customer service functions in person or by telephone; provides information or assistance regarding department/division services, activities, fees, or other issues; receives and/or disseminates forms/documentation; responds to routine questions/complaints, and refers complaints/problems to appropriate personnel.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures; ensures adherence to established safety procedures; monitors environment for individuals safety; initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations.
• Operates a personal telephone, general office equipment, or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, e-mail, Internet, or other computer programs or Apps.
• Communicates with supervisor, employees, volunteers, contractors, vendors, customers, the public, community organizations, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
• Maintains confidentiality of departmental documentation and issues.
• Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Possess and maintain a certification from PTR (Professional Tennis Registry), USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association), and/or PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) is preferred. Tennis coaching experience and/or player education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job are required.

Licenses or Certifications:
• Driver’s license preferred
