Area of Specialization: We seek a colleague whose research and teaching focus on the intersections of race, gender, or indigeneity with the environment. About the Department: The Environmental Studies department is housed in Salisbury University’s Fulton School of Liberal Arts, and offers small, seminar-style courses to undergraduate students. The home of our collegial department is the intimate “Environmental Studies House,” where we hold seminar courses, picnics, and outdoor film screenings. The recently established university Nanticoke River Center allows us to leave the city and get our students and kayaks into the waterways of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Our faculty are award-winning teachers, successful grant writers, and accomplished researchers. The department includes faculty from the humanities, natural science, and social science disciplines, and collaborates with students and faculty from across the University. Our faculty’s research is often comparative or transnational, including faculty working in Keyna, Brazil, Colombia, India, and the US/Mexico borderlands. About the Department: The Environmental Studies department is housed in Salisbury University’s Fulton School of Liberal Arts, and offers small, seminar-style courses to undergraduate students. The home of our collegial department is the intimate “Environmental Studies House,” where we hold seminar courses, picnics, and outdoor film screenings. The recently established university Nanticoke River Center allows us to leave the city and get our students and kayaks into the waterways of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge.
