GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Area Supervisors are responsible for opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy to shop environment. They ensure proper merchandise presentation, and maintain a clean work area at all times. Area Supervisors are also responsible for executing and supervising Company operational processes as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments:
• Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do.
• Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone. Immediately corrects or reports any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
• Responsible for security of building including entrance/exit control (Associate entry/egress, receiving door, daily trash removal, etc.), Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) devices daily function check, Cash Office security, armored carrier pick-ups and register area.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe, clear egress to emergency exits.
• Responsible for Customer safety including accident prevention, accident reporting and emergency procedures.
• Tests all fire alarm systems as scheduled. Responds to after-hours alarms when requested.
Customer Service:
• Treats all Customers, Associates, and other leaders with respect.
• Demonstrates courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism at all times. Recognizes Associates using Company recognition programs.
Personal and Store Brand
• Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
• Maintains a professional appearance, in accordance with Company Dress Code. Ensures all Associates adhere to the Company Dress Code at all times.
• Keeps all areas of the Store clean, well-maintained, and merchandised to standard.
• Responsible for daily trash removal.
General Merchandising:
• Ensures recovery, sizing and markdowns are completed to Company standards through teaching, assigning tasks, and following up per Company best practice.
• Responsible for receiving merchandise truck when needed.
• Processes all merchandise with a sense of urgency.
• Responsible for receipt of all non-merchandise inbound deliveries (i.e. signs, supplies, special deliveries, etc.).
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of all Stockrooms.
• Helps deliver and place merchandise on sales floor when all merchandise is processed.
• Responsible for ensuring any back-stock is secured and processed to Company policy.
• Responsible for merchandising of department including the back stock.
• Responsible for the reduction of loss due to damage.
• Ensures compliance to the monthly presentation guidelines in assigned area.
• Responsible for floor moves and signing including promotional signing as needed.
• Responsible for re-wraps as needed.

Loss Prevention:
• Understands and complies with the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and is responsible for Store Loss Prevention which includes maintaining a large Customer service presence on the sales floor, Customer and Associate engagement and heightened Loss Prevention awareness.
• As a representative of Ross Leadership, demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with Associates and Customers. Safeguards confidential information, cash and credit card information and merchandise.
• Ensures Public View Monitor (PVM) system is maintained properly.
• Conducts ?ǣCode 50?ǥ package inspections.
• Executes all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and touches while working.
Front End Supervision and Operations:
• Executes all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and extra touches when working. Ensures Associates are executing to Company standards at the Front End.
• Maintains pace, energy and ?ǣpresence?ǥ at the Front End, managing the line to expedite Customers wait time
• Trains and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control policies and other Front End procedures. To meet friendly and productivity standards.
• Controls Retail Associates? break schedule for backups, lunches and breaks.
• Ensures all equipment is working properly.
• Maintains proper supplies and recovery for the Front End area.
• Ensures go backs are expedited, properly scanned, security tagged and ticketed.

Fitting Rooms:
• Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Fitting Rooms.
• Ensures all Fitting Room garment tags are audited and accounted for to Company policy.
• Ensures go-back compliance throughout the day. All merchandise returned to the sales floor must be ticketed, scanned, nubbed and security tagged as needed.
Administrative Duties as Assigned by Store Manager:
• Ensures Cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted to Company policy.
• Responsible for Front End control when needed. Understands and adheres to the policies and procedures that refer to refund approval, Associate purchase approval, securing tills and cash in safe, register Paid Outs/Ins, void approval, register media and break schedules.
• Responsible for payroll administration including daily punch edits, Associate scheduling compliance, Sunday payroll transmission and Payroll reporting as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Store Manager.

The primary focus of Regional Trail Technician(s) is to work as a team in the form of a regional trail crew on high priority trail projects that aim to restore, build, and improve recreational trails to sustainable standards through skilled hands-on construction. The successful candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively in a teamwork environment, able to perform trail work effectively and safely in a variety of outdoor weather conditions, demonstrate an attentiveness to detailed projects and possess critical thinking skills for problem solving project components. Trail Technicians work only during the field season (June-November) which is 100% outdoors. The position requires work on uneven and steep terrain, carrying and moving tools, materials, and equipment up to 50lbs. Project locations will vary around the Saratoga Capital region, with a mix of backcountry and front country work sites.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Performing a wide range of trail maintenance and construction tasks throughout the region in both a backcountry & front country setting. Projects may include new trail construction, tread and drainage improvements, stone staircases and retaining walls, bog bridge and boardwalk construction, hazard tree removal, signage installation and general facilities maintenance
• Performing a variety of hands-on skilled work (carpentry, masonry, erosion mitigation, trail stabilization, rigging, and small equipment operation)
• Delivering sustainable trail work improvements to projects being worked on
• Proper use and maintenance of tools/gear/equipment daily for projects
• Transporting tools, gear, equipment, and materials to & from work sites
• Performing various types of trail work for extended periods of time
• Hiking daily to and from work sites
• Educating the public when approached on the work being done
• Submitting timecards accurately and punctually
• Driving a provided State or rental vehicle daily and maintaining a clean work vehicle
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workplace
• Wearing the proper PPE (personal protective equipment) during work tasks
• Working closely with the Regional Trails Specialist on regional trail project execution

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 16 years old with working papers
• Must be available for all trainings as required
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time outside and lift up to 50 lbs. or more
• Must demonstrate safe workplace practices and communicate effectively to co-workers & supervisor
• Valid Driver’s License

Desired Skills/Experience:

With a two-week prior notice, the schedule may switch to four 10-hour days (Mon-Thurs) for projects that have a long travel time. Start date of this position is May 30, 2024, end date is December 11, 2024.

Duties
• The work involves responsibility for performing a variety of beginning level technical engineering work and surveying.
• The incumbent assists the Survey AutoCad Technician and the Senior Engineering Technician by performing delegated tasks or independently performs tasks requiring a limited use of engineering theory and techniques.
• The incumbent works both indoors and outdoors and utilizes both manual and computerized methods and techniques.
• This position differs from that of an Engineer by virtue of the fact that an Engineering Technician performs only beginning level technical work.
• The work is performed under the general supervision of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Public Works, and the Public Works Business Manager, with direct supervision by the City Engineer.

• Assists in the development or reviews of plans, and specifications for various construction projects including water lines, sanitary sewer lines, storm sewer lines, roads, sidewalks, curbs, etc.
• Assists in the review of private construction plans submitted for City approval for engineering soundness and compatibility with City’s utility systems.
• Assists consulting engineers and professionals hired by the City for specific engineering or Public Works projects.
• Inspects utility repair and/or installation, provides engineering assistance and develops maintenance and repair schedules.
• Assists in the development and initiation of public awareness programs to enhance the performance and integrity of the City’s utility systems.
• Queries a computer data base and retrieves data for use in engineering projects and water/wastewater installations streets, highways, recreational parks.

The work involves responsibilities for providing professional nursing service to inmates at the Saratoga County

Correctional Facility. The work is carried out in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the

Correctional facility and the accepted standards of nursing practice. As a member of the Health team, this position

collaborates with the Staff Physician and others of the health profession to provide health care and improve the

quality of life and promote physical and mental health. Medical care is administered under the direction of the Staff

Physician. General supervision is received from the Staff Physician with latitude to exercise independent judgment in
