• Oversees preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports and trend analysis, charged off loans and recoveries, participation loans, required investor reporting, sold loans, fixed assets, automated payment settlements and correspondent banking activity using multiple source systems and reporting tools.
• Supports accounting management by coordinating month end close activities, call report preparation, and oversight of accounts payable processes.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with all internal policies, GAAP, and banking regulations for all accounting activities and reports, using applied knowledge relating to complex financial transactions.
• Recommends and provides consultative support for management of new products, new reporting requirements, or improvements to current processes. Anticipates current and future needs of the department and management.
• Oversees and coordinates daily work tasks of Accounting Associates, ensuring work is completed accurately and on a timely basis (to include: postings, balancing, reconciliations, research and reporting), organizing, prioritizing and performing multiple job tasks simultaneously
• Performs backup duties to support accounting information systems. Consults with software vendors regarding financial systems interfaces as needed.
• May lead or participate on project teams to ensure proper posting and recording of financial data, as needed. May represent Accounting management in partner business unit meetings as needed.
• Remains current in all aspects of Bank Secrecy Act, Money Laundering and OFAC compliance. Minimum Qualifications:
• 1-3 years related accounting experience required. Prior financial institution experience is preferred.
• Experience working with large databases preferred. Education and Training:
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, is required. Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred. Hours
• Standard hours are M - F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

AVP, Compliance Starting Salary Range:
• $117,344 - $124,987 per year
AVP, Compliance Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Credit Union’s Compliance Management System.
Oversee compliance risk management framework and methodologies to ensure consistency with the compliance risk appetite.
• Design and oversee the regulatory compliance testing program and ensure that compliance risks are adequately addressed.
Schedule, plan, provide direction, and review the work of the Compliance Department Team Members.
• Communicate and report compliance testing results and emerging compliance risks to the VP of Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance Committee, and Risk Management Committee.
• Oversee the review of forms, disclosures, notices, advertisements, and promotions to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Oversee the review of Credit Union projects and new product initiatives for conflicts with regulatory requirements and guidance, and advise executive stakeholders of potential compliance risks.
• Maintain relationships and effective communication with department managers and executive management to influence strong compliance standards and consideration of compliance risk.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the Credit Union on all regulatory compliance matters and be able to relate potential compliance risks to specific internal, business functional, and organizational challenges.
Communicate complex topics in easily understandable language to audiences at all levels of the organization.
Partner with business units to develop practical solutions to meet compliance requirements and mitigate compliance risks.
• Establish and communicate the vision, goals, and expectations of the Compliance Team to deliver exceptional service.
Facilitate critical thinking and draw out meaningful insight from the Team to help establish the Compliance Department as a trusted advisor and partner to the various business units across the Credit Union.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Team Members by imparting knowledge, skills, and experience.
Serve as a leader in recruiting and retention efforts for the Compliance Department.

AVP, Compliance Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or a combination of training, education, and experience is required.
NCCO, CUCE, CRCM, or equivalent credit union or banking compliance certification required.
• 8-10 years’ experience in regulatory compliance in a financial institution; 5 years’ demonstrated leadership experience, including building, developing, and managing high performance teams.

• Standard hours are M – F 8:
00 AM – 5:
00 PM.
Travels occasionally and works some weekend and after evening hours
